And they absolutely should not have allowed Redfall to be released in its current state. They knew it was problematic, which has to be why they waited until the very last minute to send review copies - it was to mitigate the damage that an unacceptably low Metacritic score would do at launch. After an exclusive-free 2022, they needed 2023 to be better than it has for the company.
I was unaware that they showcase their Xbox games running on a PC. That really isn't acceptable.

I was all set on buying a XBox or Building/Buying a PC just for Starfield...WHEN IT WAS COMING beginning of the year...then the dreaded Delay Bomb" hit again...what's that 4, 5...?....and now again with a September release. In the meantime i actually dusted off my 2016 diac a month ago, popped it in the PS5 and got the PS5 Upgrade along with all the new DLC & Upgrades...FREE...and been playing it ever since. This is no-where near the 2016 Game and frankly one of the Best Looking for Current Gen. Starfield will be a sort of ...Fallout 4 in Space with sadly, Single Player only which No Man's Sky has extended coop & MP features all over the place.......

........You can join random 'Nexus Missions" with other players or invite friends to you Planet Base or aboard your Freighter which can fly to another system with all aboard.....I think Starfield will be good but with a Space Sim like that, doing it all solo doesn't make sense. Fallout 4 at least had companions and that was a far smaller area to explore; this is space.....for NOW, I have no plans or super interest in Starfield unless it really hits it out of the park and the entire World of XBox pressure now is on them...From 7 months ago....

It's only currently the highest rated first-party brand new IP of the year so far, according to the review aggregator sites everyone loves so much.
Better to just skip it, yeah.

Are there any others, besides Redfall?

No, I think you're right; Hi-Fi Rush and Redfall are the only first-party brand new IPs released on any of the consoles in the first few months of this year, based on my 30 seconds of likely very flawed research.
Aside from Starfield, I'm not sure what else is coming out besides more remakes/remasters/sequels.

AFAIK, after Tears of the Kingdom on Friday, the only three games we know about from Nintendo and Sony that are for sure coming this year are Spider-Man 2 (sequel), Pikmin 4 (sequel), and Stellar Blade. And with Microsoft, it's Forza Motorsport (sequel), I guess Age of Empires IV (sequel), the Fallout 4 next-gen update (remaster-ish), and, yeah, Starfield.

So I think it's just Starfield and Stellar Blade for new, original first-party games at the moment. I'm sure we'll know a lot more soon -- Microsoft has their big show next month, and Sony's rumored to have one in the next couple of weeks -- but the calendar's pretty empty right now, and it's especially barren if you're looking beyond remakes, remasters, and sequels.

Stellar Blade was originally meant to be cross-platform until it was revealed to be published by Sony; I'm not sure Shift Up is a first-party developer either, though. Aren't they partially owned by Tencent? Like many games, seems like a case where a console-maker bought exclusivity by way of publishing rights.

For what it's worth, I'm not denigrating remakes, remasters, and sequels. I'm not particularly interested in any that are coming this year (I'm more into Forza Horizon than Forza Motorsport... Spidey 2 isn't catching my interest yet... I don't really know what a Pikmin is...) but I appreciate the appeal and consistency they can offer.

Based on what's out and what's coming, Hi-Fi Rush may turn out to be the GOTY for original new first-party games, particularly if Starfield ends up being Fallout-but-spaaaaaace.

Yup, all that's correct. I totally get the distinction about ownership, but I figure if Sony's publishing it, it's a first-party game.

I want to play Hi-Fi Rush, but between Tears of the Kingdom, FF16, and what's already in my backlog -- and, on-topic for this thread, that includes the XSX versions of Goat Simulator III, The Quarry, Midnight Suns, and The Cowabunga Collection -- I'm not sure when I'll be able to squeeze it in.

That’s funny. I also have the Quarry and the Cowabunga collection in the backlog.

I got this weird message when I turned Xbox on just now saying it’s auto going into savings mode which I guess kills all power or sleep mode. Why would they make that automatic, or an I interrupting this wrong?

Are you trying to say interpreting this wrong?

These are the non-exclusive games announced yesterday in the Playstation Showcase.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Yeah, there’s at least a couple missing.
The devs indicated the MGS Master Collection was coming as well, along with MGS(delta), the latter of which is in that tweet.

And Street Fighter 6 is obviously coming, too, but since that’s just over a week away, I guess it wasn’t worth noting. I actually thought SF6 was exclusive to PS like one of the previous SF games, so I was surprised to see it available for preorder.

Others are probably timed exclusives.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Despite not having a XBox or PC worth Gaming on, I will be interested in the XBox Showcase come mid June....on one hand the troubles hasn't bothered me and on the other hand I think and look back to The Glory Days of 360 and wonder what's happed. A few of us went to PS4 and now PS5 after lots and lots of great time on 360 with Gears and Halo.......and I've sort of kept tabs on both Franchises on where they stand, the latest, what's possibly coming, etc....it really hurt last year when M.S made huge cutbacks that hit 343 Industries Hard; we're talking The Halo People...the game, series that's been a main fixture of XBox....add the countless delays wih Starfield, diamall Redfall that had high hopes....so this showcase is IMPORTANT...

The other day looking around at YouTube Videos for Diablo, No Man's Sky, PC Stuff, I saw a Day Old...Gears of War Update....and since to this day, that's been my favorite series, had to look. A lot of people might brush this series off as dead and old but face it...there's nothing out there like it now or even for awhile on either XBox or even PS5. There's a serious void of some really good solid action fun single player, coop, PvP games out there.....and there's a new generation of gamers who have never played GoW....so oonce again the videos talk about the real strong possibility of Gears making a showingat this Showcase...a New game along with Remastered Set Announcement...me and others can only hope; we would buy a XBox for this alone.....check it out and see what you think...
