There should be very little gamepad lag unless you're using the Xbox controller on a PC. In that case, use an xbox dongle or USB cable for better performance, the Bluetooth mode can be a smidge lagtastic.

I don’t have any controller lag on my XSX or any previous Xbox for that matter.
That new Pinball FX game is kind of laggy though. I hear it’s better after the patch.

BTW navigation around the Xbox is just atrocious. I've accidentally taken about 100 screenshots by now.

Xbox has much friendlier user interface. And it customizable with the games you want to play. Find certain settings, etc. is so much easier on Xbox. I like going vertical, not horizontal. (title of my sex tape)

I really don't. I own it and love the Forza Horizon games. I've said the controller is totally fine with great buttons and triggers, but they blew it by not having force feedback.
I didn't mention the UI but agreed that I don't care for it. But it's probably what you are used to that you prefer.
If I have any complaints it's the terrible lack of first party exclusive titles and the constant delays. I have paid for years of Game Pass Ultimate but rarely use it because there aren't many AAA new games to play on the system. I'm just disappointed in that.

I could take or leave force feedback, honestly. Aside from Astro's Playroom, which uses it in all the best ways, not a single other game made me feel like it was 'better' with it than without it. It's just... there. Not useless like the touchpad and mic... but underutilized. Plus I'm sure one of my triggers has weakened a little bit. I don't think the difference is in my swole pointer finger
The biggest disappointment, by far, is the lack of storage expansion options. That the 2tb stick is still nearly $400 while the equivalent for PS5 is now half that price is unacceptable.
Anyway, on topic, everyone should play Hi-Fi Rush. Easily the most fun I've had with a game this calendar year. I just wish you didn't have to traverse the levels to get to the Spectra challenges. And there needs to be a boss rush mode.

I’ve heard good things about a few others, especially Returnal and Gran Turismo 7, but I haven’t played those yet. And I think my wife turned off a lot of those features in GT7 when she played.

I’m not sure if I’d run out and buy an Xbox equivalent if one came out, especially if the shape/feel had to be compromised as a result. The Xbox controller definitely feels better in my hands for long sessions.

Series X on sale at Verizon for $50 off. They must need to clear out their inventory with all these Xbox sales.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20
I just got an Elite Series 2 core on sale because the build quality of the standard controllers was such that they seem to last only a year or two. My hope is the better build quality allows the Elite to last twice as long so I break even. And it is added bonus that the magnetic components are a really nice fidget for load times and cut-scenes.
The Elite Series 2 is about 2.4oz heavier than the standard controller, a weight which is about the same as three AA batteries. I don’t notice it at all.

I seem to wear out the thumb sticks, so being able to swap them out on the Elite 2 has been very nice. The battery life is also phenomenal, in my experience. Played nearly 70 hours of Dark Souls recently and only charged it once in between that time. It's a beast.
