Again, if you're starting new or if your account expired, the far better deal is to buy up to three years of Gold and upgrade, though. If you're a bit out and you fear the upgrade path is going to go away then yeah I can see why you'd reup.

Deck, where do you see $23.50. At cdkeys all I see is 3 month non USA for 23.79 and the USA version for $28.59.

I just got three years for $96, for the second time, following the comments in the other thread.

Okay it's $23.79, if that makes a difference. That's worldwide.

So it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t have USA flag on it? Thanks Decker.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Just ordered two worldwide codes and redeemed them. No issues at all

Only funny thing was that this was the first time I've ordered from CD Keys where the code showed up as a photo of the card and not just a text code I could easily copy & paste.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

$93 total for three years of Game Pass Ultimate seems like a better deal to me. Like, a quarter the price that you all just paid. Discussed constantly the last several years in the video game deals thread, and currently in the Black Friday video game haul thread.

Yeah if you have no current subscription, sure do that. But I extended from. Jan 2025 to April 2025. For me that's not an option and frankly I don't know if I would even be offered that once it expires.
I'm fine with topping my subscription off rather than chancing it later.
And $96 for three years is 1/3 the cost of $95 for one year, not 1/4. 😉

Doh! And to think I almost got a full ride in college based on math….

Ok, makes sense for you now I guess. But this is now 4-5 years that we’ve been preaching this deal, and it still works.

Could someone please reiterate the deal or possible link? Is it only for new subs? I’m sorry.

Only for those without an active GCU subscription. You can buy a discounted Gold Membership for up to 3 years and then upgrade that subscription to GPU for $1 more.
I can't believe that deal is still live but apparently it is. But ONLY for those without an active GCU subscription now.

It's like they're not even trying at Microsoft. Games with Gold stinks month in and month out. It's such an afterthought to them.
At least Bladed Fury looks nice

Colt Canyon is fugly. Looks like an Atari 2600 game.

Yeah, I think I missed a month or two of Games with Gold because I was so disinterested. I think this is probably because of GamePass, so I fear Playstation Plus Essentials going down the same road.

I can’t even remember the last time I was excited about a GwG release. PlayStation kills them in this regard.

Are there any really good must play recent Xbox/Xbox Series X exclusives outside of Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 worth hitting up?

Console exclusives? Everything's been delayed, so outside of maybe Flight Simulator not really.

I will say that Vampire Survivors has had me hooked but I've been playing it mostly on Steam Deck.

I've heard a lot of really good things about Pentiment, which came out a few weeks ago. But as far as major AAA-type releases go, there literally hasn't been a single one from any Xbox studios this year.

IGN after the video game awards, talks about this. Easy to agree. They have all these studios and no AAA games.

Even though I'm PS5...I actually was anticipating at least some Bethesda News/Show with more on Starfield, update on Redfall, maybe more on Elder Scrolls 6 and possibly another IP that supposedly a large team has been working on for last 4yrs....but nothing....it's been silent on anything new Fallout for ages with Fallout 76 getting seasons. And nothing new on Doom either. Redfall is next up and looks fun...but on XBox side...yea it was a slap

This guy has like over 500K subscribers and his take sounded spot on...the other factor; M.S has bought up and aquired studios by the droves in last 2-3 years....where have they been? Was hoping for more to start debating on XBox or PC again but for now, on hold till I hear more especially him mentioning Starfield 'might" get another delay after Howard talked about Framerates....

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

They sold a lot of units, specifically XSS models because they were giving them away on Black Friday, and are acting like they won something. The XSS is holding back developers because it’s a requirement that all new games be playable on that system, which isn’t really a next-gen console. And yes, the complete lack of AAA first-party titles in 2022 is hard to get your head around. Like not even a new Forza game or anything?
I guess they’ll eventually put some stuff out but 2022 was pretty bleak for them. Nintendo which is much smaller came out with Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, Pokemon Violet and Scarlet. How does a behemoth like Xbox produce nothing?
