I played a bunch of NBA and Yakuza and it was fine. I’m just gonna get rid of Madden.

M$ has lost their ever loving minds! I just renewed my last month, so hopefully by next year, it will come down in price. If not, I will not be renewing.

This is the push to move people into Game pass, clearly. This sort of sucks for multi console households. I have my Series X as home console. My son has his One X and PC linked to me. He can play any Gamepass game despite only have Gold. Me paying for Game Pass twice is shitty.

Mother fucker! So a 1-year gold subscription would be doubled in price?! Guess I will no longer be a Gold member after this year's subscription expires.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

^ If you're already subscribed and specifically on a standard 1-year subscription renewal where you're auto-billed $60/year, it says it'll still be the current price, not the new price.
But if you're not already set to 1 year renewal, or if you have renewals turns off, then you wouldn't be able to keep the existing price going.
(this also applies to folks with auto-renewing 6-month plans)

At least, that's how I understand the language.

It still sucks, and it's a damn big spike. Clearly a push to Game Pass (which is, honestly, a good service worth its price), but a crappy move by MS to force people out of Gold.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Definitely a push toward GamePassUltimate (which is awesome, but this is a tacky way of doing it) (edit - GPU is awesome, but this push is bad).
There were brief rumors about a 'family gamepass' which I hope come to fruition very soon. And I'd rather they up Gold, which hasn't been increased in a very long time, than GP/GPU.
They should definitely come up with a better multi-console household solution. Ideally they should roll in all the "gold benefits" (discounts, free games, etc) to GPU, and just let people have multiplayer gaming online for free. Especially since there's so much tangential revenue in the online multiplayer gaming space.

Wow MS backtracks the price increases. F2P games also now don't require live (in future)

Has anyone else had the issue where your controller randomly disconnects from the system? No battery problems. I read it’s a known issue.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Has there ever been a time when a new console is released, there's none to buy? The PS5 is the same way. Now Microsoft is saying it may be March before they can get more stock in stores and online. Online is a joke. As soon as they are released, the bots scoop them up before anyone has a chance to buy them. There has to be a better way of getting out product than what's going on now.

Isn't that every single console (except maybe the WiiU) from launch until shortly after Xmas? Add to that whatever manufacturing delays COVID had and...

Yeah, I’ve only been a console gamer for a few generations and had issues finding the Wii and the Switch. Others have been better because I waited.

It's not one I've been following, but I remember it being touted as the first real Xbox Series S/X exclusive. Not playable on the Ones.
