Nothing yet, but I’m sure that’s coming (and very excited to see what new options there will be!).

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I managed to get one for my son for Christmas, but we cannot get audio on it to save my life. I have an audio receiver that the Xbox One was plugged into, but nothing at all from the Series X. I've also since tried going directly in to the TV and still nothing. Going into the settings on the XBox is no help. There are not very many options in audio or TV settings. Any help, PLEASE!!

NM, I got it. I did a system reset from the console menu and reset it up, and now it's working fine. Very bizarre.

I'm looking to buy one, but i'm sure they are still hard to come by. Probably even more so now that stimulus checks are hitting people's bank accounts now. If anyone sees them up for sale online, please let us know about it. Thanks everyone.

If you are on Twitter at all, follow Wario64. He tweets everything video game related and always out up info when they are up for sale on sites, so you may be able to get an alert and grab one.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Probably a dumb question buy...

my series X bundle arrives next Thursday from GameStop. I had previously purchased the digital versions of cyberpunk and watchdogs on the Xbox one. I know they will upgrade to the series.

Question: I assume if I’m playing the series X cyberpunk, my kid can’t play the Xbox one cyberpunk at the same time can he?

As long as you have your systems set up so he is playing on your account’s home system, and you are logged into your account on the other, you should be able to play the same game at the same time.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

That's an interesting question that makes me think of something my buddy asked the other day. I know this is the Xbox Series X thread but he bought Madden 21 on PS4. It upgraded to the PS5 version. He said there was now two versions. Can he delete the PS4 version (he has a PS5 console so he only wants to play the upgraded version) or does he need both installed?

He can delete the PS4 version, but if he's using a disc instead of digital, it'll try to auto-install the PS4 version again and again, because Sony hasn't addressed this in the system software. I had the same issue with Sackboy, and people suggested turning off auto-updates. I haven't done that yet.

Some of these issues had to have been caught in QA and just rushed out regardless.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

My experience with software devs is... MANY things get caught in QA, but how/when they get dealt with is based on resources (people) and priority. Fixing the double-install bug was more than likely caught by QA, but it hasn't been a priority to fix.

Finding one of these is going to be a long, drawn out ordeal. I have come close to getting one online, but by the time I put it in the cart, it's already gone. I'm just going to have patience and keep my eyes and ears open.

Target appears to be doing it right, they had them in stock for hours a few weeks ago which is impressive considering.

I thought I was going crazy. My controller would occasionally lose sync with the Series X and often not respond. Appears it is a know issue: https://gizmodo.com/microsoft-says-i...tin-1845994226

I haven't, but I've only been using my Elite 2 controller. Haven't even put batteries into the Series X controller at all.

My series X is arriving tomorrow. I don’t have my Xbox one with me so I won’t transfer anything over. Just set it up like normal I guess?

It transfers via the cloud using the smartphone app.

Ok so I got the system today hooked and updated but it’s telling me that my brand new 4K Visio tv doesn’t support 4K when indeed it does. It just goes back to 1080P. Still downloading games so will it switch to 4K when playing the game?

maybe it’s just a shitty tv

model: V435-H11

Check your HDMI cable. May not be properly rated. Now if you are using the provided HDMI cable then there is clearly a setting screwed up.

Using the provider HDMI. I notice when streaming it will say “Dolby video” then a few seconds later the 4K kicks in. I’m wondering if the dash isn’t 4K. My other TVs at home work fine. I’m in the road right now

It’s not. It’s a compromise Microsoft made to maximize resources available to games.

But if you go into display settings, it should detail specifically what your TV is capable of. If the information isn’t jiving, then that’s when you start trying other stuff. (When I was first setting things up, I was using the front HDMI port on my AVR which apparently lacks some features, but I was able to verify that all the settings were right when I moved everything to its final home.)

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is probably one of the most entertaining games I've ever played and I'm only in chapter 4.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

I just received two weird total system shut offs. Both times playing Madden 21 on franchise. I started up the system and it shut down maybe 5 mins in. I turned it back on, finished my game and kept playing. This time it shut down about an hour later.

I’ve never seen this before. Normally I’ll play two hours at a time on misc games. Madden never gave me issues before. Neither has Maneater, AC Valhalla, Watch Dogs, MK 11 Ultimate, NBA 2k21, or Yakuza.
