549.99, bundled with an extra controller. It does however say this:

Out of stock now.

It oddly doesn't say out of stock when I login to my account, but the estimated received date is about 1-2 weeks after launch with free shipping.

Yeah, they re-stocked it, Now I see it available as well.

Still gonna wait on getting one as I don't have a 4K TV and will be getting a PS5 at launch for my Next Gen games.

Maybe I will get a Limited Edition model with the next Halo game comes out...

I think I’ve decided to wait on finishing Control. The load times are just ridiculous. 1 minute vs. 10 seconds!! It’s one month. As much as I’m loving and addicted, I die a lot on boss fights. Maybe 50+ times on one boss or the other. That’s 50 minutes of waiting! And I only play a few hours per week!! Now, 5 minutes!! Just think how much more playing time I would have. I got to, I just got to. It doesn’t make sense not to.

I’m sorry, but what’s the bottom line up there? Better bc using internal SSD? Are games going take up less space now?

Yakuza: Like a Dragon gameplay on Series X is no longer under embargo. Nothing too special in terms of game fidelity/performance but this is a cross-gen game, so I don't think people expected too much.

Still... the game looks fun and ridiculous as hell. I'm almost done Yakuza 0, so I'm thinking I'll dive straight into Y:LaD with my Series X in November before playing through the rest of the game series. Should be fun. :)

Hah yeah, even entirely maxed out on PC it isn't the fanciest of game series.

I wish I had enjoyed the Yakuza game I played more. It seems like it has character, but the gameplay wasn't clicking for me.

I just got this. Figured I would need it for the optimized and then newer games. Hopefully, GB is smaller on downloads, but we don’t know yet, do we? Anyway. I’ll have the 2 SSDs and 8TB HDD to plug in, I think I’ll be good and can at least not have to keep adding and deleting game from storage devices...

Anyone else getting another SSD on release?

spainlinx0 10-19-20 10:15 AM

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Probably not. I don't play that many games at once, so deleting and redownloading isn't too big of an issue for me.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

Yeah, not for a while. I've got a legacy external hard drive I'll use for storage and previous gen games. If/when I start maxing out the internal SSD on XSX games, I'll store them on the hard drive and transfer as needed. When that gets annoying, I'll consider an add-on SSD.
I do hop around between 3-6 games, but some of those are less resource intensive GamePass or back-compatible games.

Do we even know how big the games are this time around? like how many games can the regular hard drive hold?

I don't believe I've seen anything for the new Xboxen, but we know a few for the PS5. (Some of these have been officially listed; others I found on a Google search and may not be accurate.)
  • Destruction AllStars - 26 GB
  • Sackboy - 32 GB
  • Godfall - 50 GB
  • Miles Morales (standalone) - 50 GB
  • Assassin's Creed: Valhalla - 50 GB
  • Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition - 60 GB
  • Watch_Dogs: Legion - 65 GB
  • Demon's Souls - 66 GB
  • Cyberpunk 2077 - 70 GB
  • Miles Morales + Spider-Man: Remastered - 105 GB
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - 140 GB
MS did say that developers can deliver 1440p-quality assets to the Series S, so filesizes could be something like 30% smaller there than on the Series X.

fujishig 10-19-20 11:19 AM

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

So if those are close to Series X, I should be ok with just the base drive if I put all the backward compatible stuff on an external AND I avoid Call of Duty (and probably Battlefront and NBA 2k) like the plague.

Music 10-19-20 11:40 AM

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

You could put all of them on the Xbox Series X and all but 1 on the PS5... so unless you plan on playing those many games at the same time... safe with a regular external hard drive.

They all add up to the PS5's 664GB available, but you know there will be updates...

We will know for sure next month! :D

A fun trick I saw on ResetERA if you preordered from Amazon...!

My Xbox Series X preorder has been saying "Order received" from word one, leaving me wondering if it'd actually be here at launch. Tonight, I clicked 'Change shipping speed', didn't actually change anything, clicked 'Confirm', and...voila!

Boo! That didn't change anything for me. I did exactly what you did, but it still shows "Not yet shipped. We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date."

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

The theory is that it’s geographic. If “your” fulfillment center knows how many consoles they’re getting, it’ll update. But as you saw, it’s definitely not working for everyone. :(

Fake news, ADAM!
;)
I tried it with my PS5 game pre-orders, too, because  but it didn't update. Ah well.

Worked for me. I wonder if it's legit.

Cool. Did work for me as well. May not mean anything but it feels better :) Thanks!
