I got same email today.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20
That email is just a way of covering their ass in case something goes wrong. It should be fine for most people.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20
Maybe already stated, but in regards to the add-on hard drive. Can we still use the one we have now? Just that you would not be able to have any games on it that are specifically Series X games?

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20
Thx Deftones, was having issues seeing it. Main thing I saw was how expensive the new external drive was. But should be able to mange with the current external I have and the internal 1 Tb on the new X holding the Series X games just fine.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20
I did not get anything from Target, but their expected delivery already mentioned the following day and not launch day for when it was going to be delivered with a 1 week window.

Digital Foundry does their thing, focused on backwards compatibility for this round. Sounds fantastic...

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20
Just found out I might be getting this on launch. I have a hook up I didn’t know about. Might pay like $50 extra, but no leg work, waiting and shit. I saw load times were reduced from minutes to seconds and even though this guy didn’t have access to any Series X dedicated, he saw consistent frame rate on One games and you can have quick save which saves 6 games at exact points at once! That’s bananas. Even though not 4K can still take advantage of that. I’m sold!

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20
Tom Warren makes a valid point.
It shows that MS is pretty confident in what they have if they're willing to pass along review units to uncontrolled testing this early; even if they're using NDAs to limit what reviewers can talk about publicly on a schedule, which is nothing new. That said, I hate this slow trickle of info. I'd rather they all have freedom to talk about all of it, not just bits and pieces at a time, but that's how these things go. |
Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20
They have no games to play on it though, right? Just back compat which is the buzz they're looking for.
