Wait, so it doesn't have the paddles like that attachment to the PS4 controllers?

Also, as much as I hate the lightbar, isn't it needed for VR?

It feels weird to change the controller design after all this time. The DualShocks are different between generations but always look pretty similar.

I like it. Odd that they are sticking with the giant touchpad. Outside of first year games trying to make use of it, I don't recall the last game that actually used it for anything other than a giant button.

I like it a lot, but white is not the color I want for a controller personally.

They will. You need the dual shock 4 to use PsVr.

I don't know what any of this means.

The PS3 architecture was weird and impossible to emulate this generation. That is why the PS Now service exists — because they can’t make PS3 games BC with the PS4 and almost certainly not with the PS5 either.

Weird yes but not impossible. They mentioned it on the giant bombcast that ps3 emulation has been achieved already on PC so it's doable just depends on if Sony wants to bother.

After many years, yeah, but a huge part of the library of games still do not run correctly or at all.

Wow, I got really excited and for a moment I thought you knew me really well and completely understood the reason I'm asking is because my favorite game is Battlefield Bad Company 2. Then I realized you meant "backwards compatible" and since you're the harbinger of bad news it's as if you have become the and news itself and my disappointment abounds so we're not friends anymore. Good day to you, sir.

To be more clear, ^ that ^ was a bit, I'm sorry for the confusion. That kind of joke probably doesn't come off well in text without emojis or vocal fluctuation and pacing. I appreciate your response, I didn't know any of that.

Not impressed - just like the series X. We need to give these new consoles some time to show actual, better gameplay.

Sad to say but gameplay isn't exactly the focus of launch titles...

The concerning thing about that demo was that it was running in 1440p at 30fps.
