I didn't miss out on it and didn't know that, lol.

My Daughter discovered it on youtube and had been begging me to buy it for a few weeks. I kept telling her to wait and I would buy it when I had some extra spending money. Well, when that time came, I went to buy it, and noticed that I could download it for free. I had to go find my email receipt to see that I actually had claimed it from PS+

Of course when this happened, she yelled at me for making her wait when I already owned it.

I would say it's time to stock up, there doesn't seem to be a 3-year cap on subscriptions like there is for the Xbox. I would hang onto the renewal email from Sony just in case, as it shows your new renewal date.
I'm good until halfway through 2025 now.
Thanks, just added. I'm good until 12/23. Maybe one more...

CD Keys would not let me buy more than 3 codes.

Yup. Street Fighter 2 on Super Nintendo was around that much too.

And Phantasy Star IV was 99.99: and you know what, despite absolutely loving that series, I didn't buy it, I just couldn't afford it at the time.

We've talked at length about the price hike and I still think that people will pay out the nose for the main franchises (which don't really need the extra revenue) and the smaller ones will suffer or people will wait for sales. So even if you argue that this is needed to fund development, the franchises that are making money hand over fist because of increased sales numbers (and are moving towards microtransactions) will be the ones to benefit the most, IMHO. If you have a gaming budget and Madden suddenly jumps 10 bucks, you'll probably still buy Madden and not buy something else. But we'll see. As long as they don't do a Nintendo-like price freezing, most of us will get the games for cheaper eventually anyway. I'm certainly going to be cutting way back on day 1 games (I actually did so when my GCU finally expired).

You will save so much money, though...

There are so many games I bought "because I had GCU so why not" that I didn't end up playing until they were available for well below GCU prices (part of that is because game prices drop like a rock fast these days).

You're telling me! I am the guy who bought The Avengers because it was $38 after GCU and RZ Certificate and came with a Steelbook. It was a game I had close to zero interest in, yet at that price, I couldn't say No.

I had to use a different card/payment method. Tried using my debit card twice and received the same thing.

They probably block multiple purchases for fraud reasons. Thinking someone stole the card to pay for the codes and is reselling them.

I just noticed that Walmart charged me in full for my pre order. I certainly hope that means my order is safe.

Wow, not just a pre-auth but the actual charge went through?

Yup. It's fully posted to my credit card today. Nothing for the separate order for Miles Morales though.

Weird, I just checked mine and it's still a pre auth dated September 16. Though maybe it means mine isn't secured...

Maybe it's because I paid via Paypal? It's not an issue provided I have it at launch.

BestBuy did the full price auth on my order Didn't use Paypal, because I knew the sites would already be too shitty for that extra step.

I'm pretty sure if you use paypal on a preorder it takes it right away and doesn't just do a pre authorization like a credit card does.
