Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Was just at Best Buy and they quite a few PS5’s on the shelf (the GoW) bundle. I guess the shortage really is over.

THIS....we played both RS: Vegas games and they were just flat out fun co-op wise in a organized group. You really needed to plan a bit and doing stealth and then all barging in was great. I think they like so many others saw MP PvP being big, it's cheaper to make and produce while making $$$$ and so.....I still by the way have my Xbox 360 copies....i would put it same as Ghost Recon: Wildlands but on a smaller scale....

As to Ubisoft...this story over at Gamespot caught my eye....and Ubisoft said a new Trailer for S&B will be out tomorrow...

Skull & Bones is finished, and Ubisoft is spending the remaining time on "polish and balance."

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Yet another PS exclusive going to PC.
I kid, mostly, of course, but it's very interesting to see this shift from Sony over the last few years. It's a good business model to have delayed PC releases. Probably better than releasing simultaneously with the console version, but the end result is not much different if all/most titles are going to end up playable on PC.

That game needs to make some money, it's an amazing title that I don't think got the love it deserves.

I know this game has some pretty serious particle effects and had to look up the PC Requirements...especially Medium, Recommended and Epic. If you want to get the most out of ot (Epic), it's going to require almost the latest , about a year old...it's almost the same for Forespoken as it too is got some serious particle effects. PC Requirements are up there. Another reason why I've held off on buying/building because some of these latest games are pushing the limits even more which means newer hardware...mainly video cards....which prices have been thru the roof.

My local target has the GOW bundle every week in stock for hours . Crazy.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Is there any reason to keep PS+? My sub just ran out. I never play online with the PS5, I rarely get any of the freebie games. The higher tiers don't appeal to me because mostly only play 1st party single player games. I mean the cloud saves is sort of nice in case of emergency but that doesn't seem worth the cost. Anything I may be missing from not subbing? Thanks.

The big one is cloud saves. If PS+ expires, you run the risk of losing your local saves, and I don't believe the PS5 has a way to make offline copies the way the PS4 did.

It used to be that way, but I believe you can back up PS5 Save Data now

Ah, I see how my wires were getting crossed. Apparently you still can't pick and choose what you want to backup -- it's the whole system-wide kit and kaboodle or nothing -- unlike the PS4, where you could backup/restore individual save files for specific games. I mostly think about USB backups for save scumming, and that's not an option on the PS5. But I can see that you are correct about being able to do backups.

Well that's not great. I thought you could back up game saves alone.

Well that's dumb. Cloud saves should be part of being in their ecosystem, not a premium feature.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

I'm fine with Cloud saves being part of PS Plus. That has an actual cost to Sony. But manual save backup should be available to all. No reason not to be.

Pretty neat Live From PS5 video....there's a lot of flashbacks and maybe yet to come in the video...some think at the 0.43 second mark is a hint of...Ghost of Tsushima 2....

I bought Olli Olli World, of course. It's very good. Nice freebie there.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

PlayStation Plus Essential games confirmed. Also, the PlayStation Plus Collection games are going away in May. Make sure you add them to your library before you loose them.
