It's possibly a setting. Try disconnecting the sound bar and hook your PS5 up to your TV and see if it sounds the same through your TV speakers. If it sounds the same, it's a wrong setting. If it doesn't, it's something with your sound bar

Put the sound bar audio on and I lost sound when Kratos wasn’t directly looking at Atreus. Least I know now, hopefully, and my Bose sound bar coming Tuesday will remedy all.

There have been other quirky things with bar. Some low music sometimes. It’s been a little temperamental lately, actually. Used to decode DTS, but doesn’t anymore. Stuff like that, but generally everything else sounds crisp and clear.

it really sounds like your PS5 is outputting sound in 5.1 channels, and your soundbar is only grebbing 2 (or 3, or 1) of them... How is your soundbar connected, does it have built in processing, or is connected to a Receiver/Amp thing?
edit: also, does the game have an audio selection? Seems dumb if that would override the PS5 setting, but worth checking if its just in GoW.

I was going to put this in the Upcoming Thread or just start a new one...but for NOW, this game is penciled in for PC and Playstation only or at least Beta signups are. Shown at Video Game Awards, wasn't hardly highlighted but a lot of positive feedback.
Wayfinder ...is being produced by Airship Syndicate which has done Darksiders Genesis, Ruined King and Battle Chasers along working with Riot Games formed a partnership with Digital Extremes who does Warframe. it seems to have a bit of World of Warcraft, Diablo, Neverwinter in the mix.....Pretty good write up here on the details,,,,,
