Spoiler:
This is a joke. The PS5 just displays your five most recent games , then an icon to your Library.
Can't organize things like you can on an XSX/X1

Bummer. Oh well. I’m not going crazy getting games with this system. I still think I’ll prefer Xbox, but the exclusives PS has, I’m just dying for. I did group them by genre however. Horror, platform, action/adventure, etc. But not the same as Xbox.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

My galactic purple controller will be here tomorrow. I’m excited. Won’t play till I get it. White will be back up. I was just mesmerized by the purple.
Deck, how’s the controller close up?
I do notice the controller feels more slippery than my Series X pro controller. That has nice grips. This one really has no grips.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Why would Sony make a system that has the power to turn itself off, but not on? Is it that hard a thing to make happen with voice command?

And anyone know why God of War 3 appeared on my console when I never ever downloaded it, had in my library, looked at, nothing? I see today with 2018 and Ragnarok is God of War III on my storage in my library.

God of War 3 is a Playstation Premium title. Maybe you accidentally downloaded it?

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

I never even saw it in the store or anywhere. I downloaded for free 2018 and put in code for Ragnarok. I never even searched in PS store for GoW. Eh. It’s fine, but I still want to crack 2018 first.

How’s Kena: Bridge of Spirits? Worth $19.99? I mean it looks stunning and my type of platformer.

It didn't do much for me. It's fine but there are so many better games that you now own or could play for free. Maybe check them out first.

It’s cut more from a 3D Zelda cloth; I wouldn’t consider it a platformer at all. Here were my thoughts earlier this year:

But it feels like a very different game during the boss battles, and I'm glad I heeded early warnings and played on the lowest difficulty. 'Spirit Mode' (or whatever it's called) is still a weird mix because combat in general is near-trivial outside of the bosses, and yet the bosses feel more like what I'd expect from normal difficulty (or maybe one of those half-step up difficulties some games have between Normal and Hard). The battles are admittedly very generous with health in Spirit Mode during those battles, but still, it doesn't quite gel well for me. But among Kena's other strengths is knowing when to let the curtain fall, so it doesn't overstay its welcome. As a pretty, indie Zelda-like, I enjoyed it, and I'd be onboard for a sequel. But there's definitely room for improvement.

The PlayStation direct sale runs until the 29th. So there's plenty of time to wait to see if Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or GameStop has any better deals.

it does look gorgeous. That was my main reason, but got decent reviews. IGN gave it an 8 and seemed high on it. I guess, like Decker said, definitely other games to play first. This would be way in the backlog. But, it is very pretty And seemed like a platformer in review, but I’ll check it out sometime.
If not platformer, then what would call it? I thought Zelda was a platformer as well. 🤷🏼‍♀️

"Adventure" or "action/adventure". Platformers are where jumping-to-traverse is core to the gameplay loop. Like, literally jumping from platform to platform to get through a level.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Kena is a gorgeous but flawed game. I'd wait until it's cheaper. It's in the vein of Zelda but with nary a story or character development to be found for 90% of the game, then it turns into a boss-rush game in the last few hours where you fight boss after boss after boss after boss. It's also when they start loading up on the story, but by then it's too late to care. No exaggeration. I think I bailed after my 5th or 6th boss battle. So I never got to see what happened to the character I didn't give two shits about or how the non-existent story played out. No regrets bailing on it.

I mean, Oldboy should get through God of War (about 40-60 hours), Ratchet & Clank (12-20 hours) and Astro's Playroom (3-5 hours). Toss in Spider-man (60) and Miles Morales(20) and Ghost of Tsushima (60-100+ hours), and you're set for months. Oh, and then God of War: Ragnarok is another 60+ hours. Kena isn't going anywhere and is bound to be cheaper by then or a part of another sale.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

So I'm pretty excited to have on of my favorite PS3 games back. Shatter: Remastered just came out. New for PS5 is 4k and 5.1 support. It's a Breakout style game, and just a nice chill game to put on between longer sessions. $10 and money well spent.

So between finally getting Shatter, RezHD (PS4) and PixelJunk Eden (now on Switch), I think there's only one PS3 game I would love a remake/remaster of (which will never happen), Heavenly Sword. Loved that game. One can dream.

My list would be longer but probably not that long: the PS3-era Ratchet and Clank games, maybe the first two Infamous games, possibly Puppeteer...

I never played Heavenly Sword, but I'd definitely check it out if there were a remaster or remake.

thanks MC for breaking down my usage. Unfortunately, you have factor in the OldBoy scenario which will put playtimes well beyond 😂.
But thanks for the review MC.
Just look forward to me digging up old game threads that have been played years ago 😂.

Upgrade to PS Plus Premium. All those R&C games are there and they hold up. Not sure about all the rest but it's a huge library that's fun to visit and stream games.
