Again, MLB was single console until a year ago. They could get away with it because it is a niche market. No way the NFL would allow that.

You are in for a treat those are some of my favorite games ever to play. Its the closest thing I've ever see to playing a movie.

I'm sure the sales of Madden dwarf that of MLB the Show though. But Fifa is probably bigger than both.

Not in the realm of video games. Not even close. Madden alone is a billion dollar business.

MLB The Show 2021 shipped 2M copies.

I can't find sales numbers for Madden 22, but it was the 2nd highest selling game of 2021 and generated well over a billion in revenue https://www.vg247.com/ndp-report-sep...tales-of-arise

So, yeah, baseball is niche

there were 26 Football games in 2021 that had more TV viewers than the top-rated baseball game.

oh sorry, I was more talking about the actual game being played worldwide, not video game sales or TV viewers.

In America NFL dominates MLB.

Grab Turismo 7 looks stunning! Loved the presentation and explanation of what the game offers. Iím wondering why the 25th Anniversary Edition comes with a PS5 disc and a PS4 voucher for a digital edition. Why would you need both?

I have discs of both 4 and Lost Legacy so I got the $10 upgrade. I played the heck out of 1-3 but did these only once each so I figured the cheap upgrade was worth it.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Sold my PS4 earlier today, after checking if a custom Custom/Modded Arcade Stick I had worked for PS4 games played on the PS5.

I'm grateful that it did, so I can continue to play the PS4 Fighting Games I have on PS5 with that peripheral.

There aren't any PS5 Exclusive Fighting Games yet, so I don't have to do any further mods for now.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Got another invite to buy a PS5 directly from Sony tomorrow at 11.

Guess what I know now that I didn't last time is to keep refreshing the page.
Still, not holding my breath!

Good luck. I hope you get one. If that doesn't work, I highly recommend the hot stock app. It took ten attempts, but that's how I ended up getting my PS5. The bad news is most drops tend to take place between 6AM to 7AM Central time.

I have an invite for the same time.

One question that I think I know the answer to ... if I miss this "window", I won't get taken off the list and could get another invite down the line, right? This is in the middle of my workday and I may not be able to drop everything at the start (and even though Sony gave me a 5 hour window, I have the feeling I need to get on at the start to have a chance).

If I miss out, no big deal. I usually wait at least a year after a game comes out before buying, and I still have a huge backlog of PS4 games. And I don't have a 4K TV. Not to mention a recent home ownership emergency is making my finances feel shaky at the moment, so not spending $500 on something I really don't need may be a blessing in disguise.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Fuckin' hell, it's even worse this time - Sony's site is getting so slammed, it won't load, and once it does, I get a "redirect error" page, with the message, "We cannot direct you to the requested web page at this time. Please try again."
Fucking amateur hour.

Fucking amateur hour.
I was able to get to a computer a little after the start time (2:20 pm, EST). 20 more minutes and I was at the front of the queue and it showed the console available! Put it in my cart (along with a $30 charging station to get free shipping). Updated all my shipping and payment information and when I got to the final purchase button ... "One or more of the items in your cart is no longer available"

That's ok. Like I said earlier, I'm fine with waiting. I mentally made the decision to still try to buy the PS5 if I could (even if I just played PS4 games for the near future, I thought the SSD drive and more powerful processor would make the upgrade worth it). Although I just know I wouldn't have been able to resist plunking down a lot of money on a big screen OLED 4K TV in the near future. Even though my 10 year old 1080p DLP 67" Samsung is still going strong and I don't really have the need for 2 big screen tvs in my house. My bank account could use some more time to recover (at least until I know for certain that a rumored pay raise comes through for me later in the year).

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Okay, so what I ended up doing is opening Sony's link on at least 10 separate tabs at once, and one of them actually worked and got through!
After waiting in the queue for about 45 minutes, I was able to secure a disc version of the PS5 - woohoo! Free shipping to boot!

I was expecting to start the new Horizon on the PS4, but I guess I'll wait till I get my PS5.

While I'd like to transfer most of my existing PS4 digital games to the PS5, I'm afraid that my PS4's (upgraded) hard-drive is much larger than the PS5's had-drive, and the games won't fit on it.
Do I just pry that old hard-drive out of the PS4 and use it as an external drive on the PS5?

Up to you, but you can totally start HFW on the PS4 and then just transfer your save over if you want once you get your PS5

Don't do that. The PS4 internal drive is encrypted and won't work like that.
Buy an external drive, copy over all the content you want to the external drive and then you can plug that drive into the PS5 to play whichever PS4 games you want.
The PS5 has a really easy set up to transfer your saves and account information and data from your current PS4

The drive I have in my PS4 is a separate, external drive I bought myself that I ripped out of it's casing and stuck inside the PS4 - it's not the drive that came with the PS4.

Any tutorial you recommend for copying all my PS4 data to an external?
Or is it as simple as plugging in an external drive through the PS4's USB and just copying it all on there?

If you've installed it as an internal drive, its data is now encrypted and can't just be used by another system.

Yeah it's just plug in, format the external HDD, then spend the next few hours copying over the data.
And yes, once any HDD has been formatted to an internal PS4 drive it will be encrypted and unavailable for any other device without being re-formatted.

Okay, cool!
And once all the PS4 data has been copied to the external, all I have to do is plug it into the PS5, and I'm good to go?

Yup. It comes with a 4K HDMI cable that you should use instead of your PS4 one if you have a 4K TV, but other than that, you'll be good to go.
