THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: 1 & 2 Remake
Publisher Forever Entertainment confirmed on Twitter that a deal has been signed, though no further details are available at this point. We don't know what platforms the remakes will land on, nor when they might release. "Hi Guys! We confirm the signing of the agreement regarding remakes of the games 'The House of the Dead' and 'The House of the Dead 2'," reads the tweet. "No platforms or release dates have been confirmed, and unfortunately we can’t say anything more for now." Rumours that Sega's shooters would be getting a modern facelift were first floated on Polish website Graczpospolita a month ago. The article (via Eurogamer) contains unconfirmed reports that MegaPixel Studio is handling development, and the gameplay will be modified slightly. The original script, however, will apparently remain untouched. |

no gun, no sale. i loved playing these on whatever, Sega, maybe with the light gun. loved it so much!!! guess this will be a FPS remake. no thanks, probably...

IGN is pretty down on the gyro aiming which is a pretty big issue in a game like this.

Apparently, a PS4 version might be coming soon? (https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2022...potted-for-ps4) I heard about the issues with gyro controls, so I chose to finish my first playthrough with the Pro Controller. I'll probably test out the gyro controls tomorrow evening on a second playthrough. |

Forever Entertainment announced today that The House of the Dead: Remake is heading to PC (Steam & GOG), PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia on April 28 — 21 days after the game was released exclusively on Nintendo Switch. |
