Nice, I held off buying it on the switch. I'm playing DQXIS now and as we speak I'm downloading Tetris Effect.
Got a trainer working for DQXIS!! Unlimited health/Magic/money etc. Nice!! Can't wait to play Octopath with a trainer also.

Re: Xbox Game Pass/Game Pass Ultimate
So I played a bit and realized that DQXI S is not for me, it has too many go to this tree next to this dog and talk to this kid. I was about to blind buy it for $32 and instead got 4 months of Gamepass for $26. So I guess it paid for itself. I have 4 months - 1 week left of the subscription.
Also HATED HATED HATED Tetris, I went to settings and it doesn't seem it can be changed from the joystick to the digital pad. I can't play Tetris with the joystick.
I'm having trouble getting the EA games, it asks me to create an EA account and pay for it.

It's a turn based JRPG. It's great. Simple but fun. Try it out. If you don't like it after an hour, delete it.

I'm still having issues getting a new EA account and linking the games.
This is weird I played a few mins of the demo in the Switch and I picked the same character and the story is different, you can save with the mouse or whatever it is in the pc much earlier instead of in a particular buildingI spent a while to find in the switch game.

Glad to see Stalker 2 on the list. Really liked the first one on the pc back in the day. With that and Outriders both coming to game pass I may get by another year without buying any games!

Re: Xbox Game Pass/Game Pass Ultimate
The other day me and another PS4friend were talking about some games we've played that are going to XBox Game pass....both of played together on Xbox 360. And the converstation was tied to neither of us have got a PS5 yet like many others...and then he said instead, keep the PS4 and geta new XBox for the game pass and asked me how it works and costs....i didn't have an answer because I don't know either;the costs, the plans, what you can and can't do, keep or rent and what happns if you ditch it and do you still need GOLD along with the Pass....
I for one can play thru the PC...I still have my XBox account and name and last game I played was Gears 4. However...after MS bought ZeniMax {Bethesda), PS4 Players have and are still kept in limbo as to the future mainly around Elder Scrolls and Starfield. As a long ESO Player, I've stopped because I want to hear and see what future plans they have for ESO6...will it be exclusive or all platforms....which has lead to thinking of XBox pass and Keeping My Account thru the PC. So can someone just sort of explain the...Pros & Cons, costs and all...Thanks.

Re: Xbox Game Pass/Game Pass Ultimate
Pros:
- low cost of entry. At most, GP is $15/month (Ultimate), but $10 if you just want Console or just want PC. My Netflix sub is something like $18. I get far more out of GP than Netflix, but my wife and kid get more out of Netflix. I never get 'deals' on my Netflix sub, but I regularly top up my Game Pass sub when a good deal hits.
- So many MS-owned games. Now with ZeniMax, there's even more games making their way in. These games don't leave GP once they're there.
- Rotating library of 3rd party games. Big and small games of all genres. Some absolute gems and must-play favourites have cycled through it for me, absolutely making it worth the price of admission (even if just for the discovery factor).
- Transparency. If you follow the Game Pass folks in any way (blogs, twitter, etc.) they're very clear on giving about a month's notice before a game is pulled, if not longer. The Game Pass section in the console also shows you which games are "leaving soon" and they usually show up there around the same time. I don't think there's ever been a case where they gave you only a week or a few days before they pulled a game.
- Discounts. If you absolutely love a game and it's leaving, you can buy it at a discount before it's gone. Same for any DLC. It's not always much, but it's better than no discount at all. I've done this a couple times.
- If you don't mind jumping through a few hoops, you can rack up enough Microsoft Rewards points to redeem for GP top-ups to the point where you rarely, if ever, have to pay. Takes a lot of dedication for that though.
Cons:
- PC game pass is, apparently, quite shit. Meaning, when it works, it's fine, but there's some sort of Windows 10 bug where some games you delete will appear to be gone, but they still take up space on your HDD/SSD. That's bad and shitty. Sometimes, the PC versions are also entirely different builds than Steam/Epic builds. For example Streets of Rage 4 on PC GP was a mess for a long time, but played fine on the other PC platforms. Not sure if that's a MS problem or a distributor/dev problem, but seems to be more of the former.
- You don't "own" anything. People should honestly already know this, but it always baffles me when people complain about the lack of ownership. It's a subscription. But it has to be repeated because this is always a complaint for some reason.
- If you're the type to play one game indefinitely (see: Destiny, Warframe, COD, Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, etc...), then Game Pass isn't for you. It's meant to encourage discovery and variety, so if all you do is play the same game over and over, then there's no benefit here. Just buy the one game you love and don't think twice.
- Yeah, there's some shit games. Ignore those.
That's my 5-minute pros/cons list. I'm sure I could flesh it out more.
TL;DR - Absolutely worth it for me, but it depends on how you like to play as much as what you like to play. But some of my favourite games -- of all time -- are games I discovered or replayed because of GP. As always, your mileage may vary.

Re: Xbox Game Pass/Game Pass Ultimate
Playstation losing exclusives, and those showing up on Game Pass is an interesting turn of events...
(Yakuza games were another that weren't on Xbox in any capacity until the last year or so, right?)
Plus, everyone knows Base Wars was the best Baseball game ever made, so...
