As a former Xbox and 360 owner but did not get XB1 player...I have to say it was good to see MS listen to GAMERS and ditch that B.S of a "All-in-one Media Console w/Gaming Added" and go back to a Game Console. Spec wise, seems on the right track and frankly with it and PS5, gamers should be thrilled.

I did like the story trailer of Halo: Infinite. Was talking to a friend who we played Halo and Gears when we had our 360 and mentioned the trailer.....just seeing Master Chief and hearing that music brought back a lot of good memories and times. Halo and Gears was the reason for getting the 360....good stuff to look forward to next year.....

Unfortunately I think that's what we all have to live with because 343 has ruined Halo...at least campaign-wise (I didn't bother with MP with Guardians). Halo 4 was above average, but Guardians? Sigh. Hot garbage.

Halo 5 (and to a lesser extent, Tomb Raider) were the only reason(s) I got an X1. At this point Halo isn't a "console seller" for me anymore.

Wow!!! that looked really ordinary and common of a Halo game. nothing looked new, revamped, updated, what have you at all. detail, texture, environment was so old Halo-ish. this should have looked jaw dropping...

Nice to see MS getting innovative with their gameplay.




I enjoyed a lot of the old Halo games, but skipped X1 consoles for PS4 and will likely go PS5. I’d like to play the new ones at some point, but this looks like a lot more of the same old stuff. I will say their gun play and melee are still top notch.

I've been a fan and played about every HALO Game out there going back to the original first Halo on the Xbox and through the 360. I was excited to see the actual gameplay with Infinite and hopefully see how "Awesome Looking Halo" was going to look.....after watching the gameplay I had to go back and make sure this WAS Infinite Gameplay and from XBox Series X and not one off the 360 or Xbox One.....I seriously hope for Halo Fans & Players...That Wasn't Near a Final Build of Halo: Infinite....I saw this story but sorry, Halo...and even Gears of War at the time...were cornerstones of XBox. One would think being highly important to the release of the New XBox Series X, they wouldn't hold back with Halo: Infinite and come out blazing....but according to this story it sounded like...more excuses....

I thought the gameplay looked okay - more Halo but with a grappling hook and a fresh coat of paint. Not the biggest fan of the franchise but I'll definitely be playing this. With this being more of a Destiny-type (live service?) game, I wish they'd gone into that a little. That's what's really interesting to me.

Well...I didn't really want to drag any PS4 Games in the mix...especially with The Last of Us Pt 2 and Ghost of Tsushima which I'm playing.....The first Halo:Evolved was THE game on the XBox and when I actually joined DVD Talk back with the DVD Talk Halo Bunch....and those were some serious fun times. I played all the Halo Games just like Gears of War which I play a little of but thru PC...still have my XBox Account.

So when I saw the announcement for Halo Infinite, I was actually excited and couldn't wait for more to see......PS4 might have a hefty amount of great games but to this day I haven't really found anything yet that compares to the experience of Halo and Gears of War....GoW Horde can't be touched by no-body...So I see this so-called World Premier of Gameplay Demo of Infinite and I was like...what the heck is this....early form of some Beta or last years demo....especially when you consider both PS5 and Xbox Series X is slated like 4-5 months away; not a year. I wasn't trying to be mean and down grade but geeee wizzzz...this is Halo, not some 2nd or 3rd party new IP or arcade game.....HALO...well, here's Halo Reach side-by-side comparison on the 360 and XBox One X...and I'll just let it speak for itself.....good memories there...

Translation: we've seen feedback on the footage and don't want to risk tarnishing the brand with a game that looks like an Xbox One launch title, nor having said title be the flagship Series X launch title. We'll just blame it on Covid to be safe.

MS should have used some of that money they spent to buy a bunch of game companies to hire Bungie back for Halo like Sony brought Insomniac Games back into the fold to make Spider-man after Sunset Overdrive.

Sorry to hear this for the XBox owners....Halo Series has been a central part aand cornerstone of XBox going back to the first one....it really help put the XBox and 360 in the spotlight. Sorry, but 343 Industries was ripped to shreds for the lackluster visuals on the Infinite Demo. At the end of July they responded....and two weeks later Infinite gets a delay and won't be a part of the Series X Release....that's just sad....
