They were sending stuff out but the options were limited (and expensive). Though with the yen at the current conversion rate you probably saved a ton if you went to Amazon Japan.

I got my NA version today. It is a tiny box lol. haven’t opened it yet still waiting for my JP version before I decide what I’m gonna do. I also have that little fake mini tower on the way.

My Sega Genesis Mini 2 just arrived yesterday from Japan.
I popped it in and took a look. There are 60 games to play. I played Super Street Fighter 2 and the old FMV game Sewer Shark. This console is going to keep me busy when I do have time for games for months
I know the price of the console and having to order it from Japan with shipping costs is probably going to turn off a lot.
We'll see how much time I can spend on this. It's not easy with so many entertainment options and so little free time after work.

I've been playing with this console for about 5 days now and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I think the Mini 2 is actually pretty than the original one. I think I've played 5 or 6 games so far.
I already see on Ebay that scalpers are trying to charge 2-3 times it's cost. As of right now, you can still order it from Amazon shipped from Japan, but the price just went up to $104. I know most of you guys aren't keen on this console due to owning other consoles, time and also cost plus shipping. But, I'm enjoying it so far. It's up to you if you think the cost is worth it. Remember these will eventually go out of print.

So this console is still available and price dropped to $89.20. I guess sales of this were slow. Probably people were scared off by the shipping costs.
I haven't spent a lot of time on it lately, but it's a good retro console.

So I've been looking at this every once in a while and noticed Amazon now has a promo code which is the exact price of shipping (22.30). Price is back up to 99 bucks though.

I guess this wasn't as limited as they hinted it was or there wasn't a lot of interest in it, especially since it ships from Japan with some pretty expensive shipping.
