Agreed - I've put something like 150 games on the Genesis-mini, and 250 on the SNES-mini, add to that Trubografx-mini and the Neo-Geo-mini (that last two should be hacked eventually) - so between those 4 consoles, if you like sprite-based 2D games like I do, there's nothing better.

11. Zombies Ate My Neighbors (48 stages and a bonus level based off of Maniac Mansions: Day of The Tentacle)
12. Sonic CD(While the sequels were developed by Sega American team, this one was developed by Sega Japan.) The time travel feature is what sets this game apart from other sequels in the series.

I have most of these mini systems (except the Neo Geo) and I love having them, but I just don’t get much time to play them.
Not sure what would get me to buy a second Genesis mini.

Wait, Japan is getting a Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 and a Sega Genesis Mini 2? It kinda seems to me that that youtube promo in English at least means it's releasing in some fashion and will make it's way to America unless the Japanese really like foreign versions of consoles or something.

Then why did Sega put out an English promo video for it? Says it's coming October 27th.
The thing that is confusing is that it says it's an Amazon exclusive. Also, that Sega website is the Japan site, but it's all in English and even mentions the U.S. games rating system.

I think the market for these is kinda saturated, but not completely gone. So they want to sell a product but don't want to put too much effort into marketing and shipping.
I've got most of these mini machines, though I don't get to play them nearly as much as I'd like. If the titles are good for this one, I'll see if I can convince my wife.

I think I paid $50 at Best Buy.
I pretty much have them all (including TG16 and Neo Geo) and all of them are still unopened.
That said, if this Mini 2 has all of the games from the original Mini, but adds more titles like Afterburner II, Sonic CD, Virtua Racing, Super Hang On, Outrun, Thunderforce IV, etc, then it might be worth getting and give away my original Mini.
My issue with no playing these minis is just the lack of inputs on my OLED TV. Maybe I should get a smaller set for the bedroom to play around with these.

Yeah, it wasn't clear since I haven't seen a full list of games on it. It would be weird to have a Sega Mini 2 missing the original Sonic games for example.
