I went ahead and ordered the Premium Edition when Target had their B2G1 going. I figured for $71, it was worth it for the steelbook and season pass.

Do we know if it is an actual Steelbook that comes with the premium edition? Best Buy lists it as a Steel Case, if it is one of those shitty metal paks with the hinge spine then they I will pass.

I know this hasn't been released yet, but what is the best MK game before this in an overall opinion. I loved MK2 and MK3, so I wanna get back into the series.

Mortal Kombat 9 (aka Mortal Kombat) or X is a great re-entry point imho. I'd start with 9 if you have the hardware for it (or a PC) since it was the reboot into the current iteration.

MKII was the highlight for me. I also played the hell out of MK Trilogy on PSX. Then I fell off a bit but gained a little more interest once Deadly Alliance hit and was fully back in for MK9 on 360.

I think it's cool they're using her, even having the character kinda look like her is fine.
What they messed up is how even though they make Sonya kinda look like Rousey, her body model is nowhere near as buff/built as Rousey is in real life. Shouldn't videogames be more extreme in that regard, especially the MK series?

I hate how they release a half-finished game, then dole out content over time for extra money.

Half finished game? Almost all fighting games now have season or character passes now. Yes, more than likely they will have a complete edition of some sorts a year or so down the line, but it's going to include the same stuff along with some outfits.

Target is also offering a $10 gift card with purchase this week. I had to do a quick chat since that promotion wasn't live when I preordered, but they sent it. And the game is scheduled to arrive tomorrow now since it was delayed

I really want to pick this up, but like someone previously said, I think it's better to wait until the "all inclusive" edition is released later.

I bought MK10 when it was released and the season pass, which is way more than just having waited and buying that MK10XXL edition.

That's what I did for MK10 as just waited until it went on sale for the XL version with all of the DLC and that's what I'm going to do for this one too.
