Super Mario 64
The Legend of Zelda: OoT
The Legend of Zelda: MM
Mario Kart 64
Donkey Kong 64
Starfox 64
Diddy Kong Racing (criminally underrated)
Pokemon Snap
Kirby 64
F-Zero X
Super Smash Bros
Wave Race 64 (not my thing but people like the series)
Paper Mario
Excitebike 64
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (people love Turok)
Star Wars: Roque Squadron
Ogre Battle 64
Mario Golf
Mario Party (I'm going to assume at least one of 1-3 would be included)
Pokemon Puzzle League
Harvest Moon 64

I'd probably say Yoshi Story gets in over Ogre Battle or Excitebike. And if they're going to put in a snowboarding game it better be Snowboard Kids and not that crappy 1080 Snowboarding game.
As much as I'd love to see it, I think there's pretty much zero chance Ogre Battle 64 makes it.

Although I debated between Dr. Mario 64 and Pokemon Puzzle League. I think either one could show up. Pokemon Stadium will definitely be on there, though.

Shadows of the Empire was not launch, it came out that holiday season a few months later. But if we are throwing in hidden gems, my vote goes to Extreme-G.

I figure Shadows of the Empire would be more likely than Rogue Squadron. The Rogue Squadron games seem more associated with the Gamecube whereas Empire is more associated with the N64.

Re: Trademark Suggests A Nintendo 64 Classic Is On The Way.

Any speculation of when this will be released? I'm thinking Fall 2019. Nintendo has both the NES Classic and SNES Classic in production currently, and have committed to keep making them through the end of the year. I think they'll stop production on both NES and SNES Classic in Spring of next year, and then change the production lines for those to start making N64 Classic, stockpiling them for a few months and then release in the Fall to sell through the holiday season next year.

Re: Trademark Suggests A Nintendo 64 Classic Is On The Way.

I think the NES and SNES are gone as well after Dec, but maybe they will stock them for the Spring. Depends on if they are selling. Kind of just sitting on the shelf now but the holidays will be big. N64 probably in late summer/early fall.

My concern is that I hope they have both Zelda games on it. I never got around to playing played MM before and I'm sure OOT is a lock.

It looks like it's not happening, at least not anytime soon

Damnit. I passed on a 50% off N64 at Half-Price last week assuming this was really happening.

Re: Trademark Suggests A Nintendo 64 Classic Is On The Way.

I think a big issue is with the hardware. People have been playing N64 games on modded NES and SNES Classics for a while now, but there's glitches and crashes. There's some recent fixes that work for some games (Zram Crash Inhibitor & Memory Booster), but they require mods that add more storage to the consoles via USB or SD card.

So the Classic hardware, by itself, is not enough to run N64 games without crashes. After the success of the NES Classic, the SNES was essentially a no brainer since Nintendo could use the same hardware in a different shell. For the N64 Classic, Nintendo wouldn't be able to just stick the same hardware into a new shell, they'd have to revise/upgrade it a bit, which is an additional cost.

Forbes seems to think a major factor would also be the lack of Rare games:

Re: Trademark Suggests A Nintendo 64 Classic Is On The Way.

Luckily, my N64 still works. I would still buy a N64 classic if they ever make one for when my 64 breaks down.
