i take that back. stealthy really helps and only way i can complete some quests. i love it actually. sneak up and assassinate, carry the body and dump. good stuff, especially if captain with higher level than you is around. i honestly wish i never got started bc i know i'll want to play RDR2 when first comes out and no way i will be close to finishing this one and just enjoying it...

Thanks, that's a no-go for me then. Actually the Egyptian themed one seemed more interesting to me than this one (especially since it's cheaper), but I'm guessing that's more of the same.

I dunno man. In the beginning you’re King Leonidas battling in 300 (Gerard Butler speeches and all)...

i also like the parkour factors where you can scale virtual mountains that are straight up. unrealistic, sure, but who cares, it's fun.

c'mon people talk...

I see a few playing this off the bat on my friends list but there are still quite a few playing Spiderman....along with Destiny, Fortnight, God of War and others thrown in the mix. I really wanted to get this and will eventually...but...still games I'm working on (still haven't fired up BF1 I got last month for $5.20), still unsure with RDR2, Fallout 76 Beta at the end of the month and next thing you know Black Friday is right around the corner. If Origins pops up at a insane deal, I'll grab and play it unless we get a Origins & Odyssey combo deal too good to pass up....

this is one of those fun, addicting, just do one more mission, 5 hours later, go anywhere, complete different ways if you choose kinda of games. and now that i have horse and riding, it's like it was an omen or precursor to get me ready for RDR2. i tell you, timing is amazing sometimes...

I can't get two games of this scale so quickly together, so I'm going for Red Dead Redemption 2 for October, and I'll get Odyssey next month (ideally as a birthday gift, so no money out of my pocket!).

It's also a strange thing because while I am excited about Odyssey, I played through Origins in March and April. It's hard for me to muster the same level of enthusiasm when it's only been 6 months or so. I mean, I know I was late to that party, but still, absence makes the heart grow fonder or whatever.

I hear ya. I really don’t know what I’m going to do yet when RDR comes out in two or so weeks. i literally only get to play a few hours on weekends now, once in awhile during week, but rare. AC: O will take me months. i could quit cold turkey, finish up Borderlands 2, and then RDR2, but invested in Odyssey, see, i don't know. 3rd world problems...

That was one of the Big ? marks before being released. When all the details came out in E3, many were asking and wondering, "Is this a bit too close to Origins right now?". In fact so thought this and BF1 might suffer with RDR2 and COD; all in the same month. And I'm sure many think like you...me included....that it would be hard to play two very involved games this close. And Ubisoft...frankly I think they should've waited another six months...was caught between a hard place & a rock. Couldn't release in September; too soon. October, a bad choice for anyone with RDR2. Why nor November which has Fallout 76 and now BF1 or even 1st part of December. And first quarter of next year; The Division 2 and Anthem hit.

Funny K&A that you started thread too. Why start if weren’t interested to play right away?

Well..good question but at the time getting close to release...there wasn't even a thread started which to me sounded and looked a bit strange since Origins got a thread going up early. Even though it was...and is...50/50 on getting the game, something that looked so amazing in the same realm as Origins deserved some attention and notability ......

...and I still might...probably will...get it but I also really want to play Origins as well since both time periods really fascinate me not to mention that Ubisoft did an outstanding job on portraying both eras & cultures.....

Poor Oldboy... he's either a year or two late to a game, with no one to talk to him about it, or he's playing it right away, before anyone's been able to dive into it.

This game had bad timing, just like Tomb Raider. It seems like most people were jumping from Spiderman to Forza to Red Red 2. The fact that it's going to be 50% off or more in the next few months doesn't help either.

Re: Assassins Creed: Odyssey - 10/05/2018

Matty hit on the head....bad timing with highly anticipated games about to be released, too soon after Origins which may have a AC Burnout from those players....Ubisoft has said no AC Game in 2019 so I wouldn't be surprised this game will be picked up later down the road. And according to Ubisoft, Origins, Odyssey and one other is supposed to be a Trilogy in this time period which I think is great....think next one might be around Roman Empire(?)...if this or Origins pops up on sale come BF, I'll grab it/them.

eh, timing schmiming. you play what you want, when you want. i don't buy stock in waiting bc something else might or might not be better a few weeks later. i'll take what i can get, have fun for the few hours i play a week and that's it. sure, sometimes i need help in deciding, but having choices is sometimes a good thing...sometimes.

Why ask a question like "Why is nobody talking about this game" if you have no interest in the answer?
