Yes, there is an achievement for putting Legendaries in all 4 slots... it's called "The Argonauts".

You can easily get legendary lieutenants for your ship by knocking legendary mercenaries/enemies unconscious (rather than killing them) and recruiting them.

Not played this in several weeks now. Might play this week to see if any new weekly achievement. Looming forward to the free remaster this month.

Wait, I can know mercenaries out? I've played this entire game plus the DLC and did not know that. In many cases, I can't even assassinate the mercenaries. I do some damage but not enough to kill them.

You really gotta have your Assassin skills fully leveled and gear that gives +Assassin damage to stealth kill mercs. I'm not sure what determines their health pool other than level but I've been able to take out a few, while others are almost dead after the stealth attack.

You have to use a non lethal attack at the end of a fight to knock them out. My method is to get them down to just a sliver of health with your weapons, then finish them off with a Spartan kick. Once they are knocked out, walk up to them and you will get a "Recruit" prompt. Don't use weapons with fire or poison as the chip away damage can kill them before you land that final Spartan kick.

It could take some practice as you may accidentally kill them trying to get their health low enough for that final kick. Doesn't have to be a mercenary, there's usually a legendary captain in forts. I have recruited some awesome legendary mercenaries with great perks and they kick some ass when raiding ships. Obviously, use Ikaros to see which mercenaries/captains are legendary prior to initiating a fight.

^ And of course, don't Spartan kick them off a ledge. The kick can't kill them but the fall most certainly can.

Pretty big update for the game recently.

You can assign custom gear load outs now. There's a compare button when looking at gear in your inventory or in shops now too.

More importantly, a few new quests have been added, mostly for people around Greece, but also a quest that's an intro/preface to the new Atlantis DLC, which I guess drops on April 23. New splash screen teases it, and looks pretty cool - new areas for this DLC has been pretty much confirmed.
The new missions around Greece are cool enough, kinda the same old thing, but the Atlantis mission is pretty cool - it has you running around to the same areas, but it's promising good things for the DLC.

Are we supposed to have our AC3 Remaster yet? I don't see where to get it.

I just got my download of it. I bought the season pass through the Playstation Store and had it add it to my cart and purchase it. It shows up as free. I figured it would just show up in my account, but I had to do the same thing for Far Cry 3 remastered...

I didn't realize we're getting another DLC soon. Guess I'll have to fire it back up and finish the last chapter of the previous.

Yeah, I found it in the Xbox store and it showed that I owned it. Thanks. Figured it would be in the in-game store with the other DLC but it's not.

Rumor is that then next AC (in 2020) is gonna be Vikings!

Good potential there, but sounds like they're doubling down on ships and naval stuff, which I'm not a big fan of.

I also hope they give us the option of a female lead again (as long as her voice acting is as good as Kass').

Yeah, I posted about the teaser in the Division 2 thread (which is where it's located).

Considering the success of Black Flag and Odyssey, I'm not surprised they're sticking with the navel stuff. The formula seems to work well for them.

Re: Assassins Creed: Odyssey - 10/05/2018

Even though I posted on thisbthread last month I having actually played the game since probably January. Bootee it up again today, downloaded a couple of updates and first thing I noticed was new Fast Travel points scattered across the map. I see the cap level is now up to 99, and some new missions. All good enough reason for me to start getting back into it. I have had just too many games on my plate for at least the last 6 months now and picking up a copy of AC Rogue Remastered and the free AC III download I had this month have only added to it. This game is just too much fun though.

Downloaded the Atlantis DLC last night, looking forward to starting it tonight!

Been hearing great things from people who have started it already.

Is it episodic like the last one or this a full DLC in one go?

That Trailer above says "Download Episode 1 April 23rd", so I would assume it's episodic.

Now that I'm done with Origins, I guess it's time to start this one up. I have been playing the Remastered III too so I will see how far I get to Odyssey.

I'm glad that I bought the Season Pass when it was on sale so this game ended up costing far less than the $80 retail price that it goes in Canada.

Yes, Atlantis DLC is 3 separate episodes, and I heard the first episode ends rather abruptly, though unlike the last DLC, it has new maps/areas.

Re: Assassins Creed: Odyssey - 10/05/2018

Well i downloaded the first Atlantis DLC and started playing for an hour last night. I am very happy to report that its providing more of a challenge again. I got my ass kicked in my first two battles by the statues who shoot laser beams and the volcanic shots that immobilize the power up abilities. That being said, i now have more of a handle on it and its added more to the already excellent game. The new landscape of Elysium doesn't seem huge, but big enough to keep me going for a while. Similar to the afterlife world DLC in Origins its pretty to look at and well thought out. Also seems that when you capture bases in this new area you gain a skill point, which is very helpful indeed. I am level 74, but was not looking forward to grinding my way to 99. I have to admit that the AC series has really hit its stride with these last three (four including Black Flag, but forgetting the Paris mess) games and i am invested going forward.

Re: Assassins Creed: Odyssey - 10/05/2018

Last weekend i completed all the DLC and it was fun. It certainly offered a bit more of a challenge, at least for a while. Looks like the next two DLC's will have new environments as well, so looking forward to those. The next one will it seem immediately start with a Boss battle. I was all ready for it by the end of this new DLC only for it to end as it was about to begin. Only made it to level 80 after completing everything, so it looks like i will be grinding again until more DLC.

No-one seems to know if this is legit or some elaborate hoax/fake...but there's plenty in here that at least raises the fact it could be very well true...

I see that the Episode 2 of the DLC is out today, the one where you head into Hades. Well I guess I will be getting back into this today. I did enjoy the last episode, and sure this will be the continuation of what has been an exceptional game.

Re: Assassins Creed: Odyssey - 10/05/2018

I admire your commitment and dedication to these Assassin’s Creed series James as I get easily bored and get into other games, eventually returning to them weeks, months and even years later.

I played a bit when I first bought this past Christmas but haven’t returned to it yet. At least I finished Origins 100% including the DLCs.
