I was long done with the main game in Origins before it's first DLC hit, so I was itching for more.
With this one, I'm not even halfway done with the main game, so no hurry for DLC, but increased level-cap will be cool.

Wonder what the DLC will be - for AC games, the DLC usually involves new areas instead of reusing existing ones.

Well once again it's not a spoiler (as it's already been announced) but one DLC will focus on the Atlantis storyline. Lots of potential there. I actually LOVED the DLC for origins. The mythical types new locales were superb. Something along those lines will be very welcome.

Update: well I have been scratching my head a little the last few days as I have been at the level 70 cap for some time, but my XP gain stopped increasing about a third of the way up the bar. I just did a quick search and a few hours ago someone posted the same problem on the Ubi forums. Apparently a new patch for the gain hits tomorrow that might fix this. I hope so as I have lost a shit load of XP in the last few days due to this. Also, I noticed since the last update a glitch where the characters helmet no longer appears. Its weird.

First DLC out and I spent a little time on it. Seems more of the same so far. A new skill added as well that removes dead bodies. Shame not gonna be able to use it any time soon. After hitting the 70 cap nothing has been done about the 25 mill Levrl for each ability point from that point on. Utterly stupid move by Ubisoft, and hopefully they will rectify it soon. Its kinda defeating my desire to play the game if I can't level up at a reasonable rate. The Mastery points at this stage are just a complete waste of time.

Does the DLC have new areas, or is it inside the same Odyssey map, or a re-skinned one?

I didn't get a season pass/deluxe version of the game and decided to get the DLCs piecemeal (if their good), because I hate AC3 so much, I don't even want it for free.

It's the same map, not like Origins that had new areas to explore. There is a new branch of cultist types to kill, but only around 6. I never played AC3, so the season pass seemed worth it. Once I complete the DLC, which will probably be by the weekend, I will let you know if it's worth purchasing. So far its kinda meh.

That's a lot of money for the same map. True, the existing map is huge with a ton of potential, but Origins DLC seemed to give you more for your money (as have previous AC DLCs).

So how does this DLC integrate into the game anyways?
Previous DLCs had you using the same character, so you just kept leveling up Bayek, for example. But if you're playing a different character here, what level do you start out at, 1? And what's the point of leveling up your current character if there's no additional content for him/her?

Well the new DLC basically just looks like a new mission. On the Cult page you also have a new symbol which shows the several new cults types who need to be killed. They are supposed to fit more into the mythology of the AC series it seems. And you keep playing with your regular character. This is where the Mastery system is ineffective, if like me you have reached level 70, you have gained all possible abilities at this point, once you hit that level cap its a hell of a job just to get enough XP for one new ability point. I think the mastery skills have something like a total of 1400 ability points needed to gain them all. Times that by 25 million. And I spent hours and hours just to get 10 million. Forget it. I have not been playing as much simply because I feel like there is little point if my character has nowhere else to go. I will run through the DLC, but it not being a new area on the map also means I am not seeing anything new at this point. Its a bit of a let down after such a great game otherwise.

what cults? i haven't come across a cult or the word yet in this game. Bandits yes, cult, no. is this later in game? is there somewhere that shows % completed?

Really? How far are you in the game? When you finish one of the main missions, you’ll see a tab with the Cultists and how to unmask them.

So I completed the DLC today. A massive Meh!!!!!! Really added nothing to the game and it only added the extra missions to get the members of the Order. Pretty dull. The future DLCs really need to provide new territories as this felt cheap and a waste of time.

I hear this first chapter of the DLC is the smallest and the other chapters are longer and WILL include new areas.

So I may wait until the whole thing is available and get it then - I can wait since, god knows, I'm not finishing the main game any time soon.

i'm level 27, but think i have only done 1 story mission. just doing all the other side missions. i unlock those bad generals or whatever and have a tab for that. are those the cultists?

See where this is back on sale in the PS Store...I think $29 for the basic and around $35 for the Deluxe(?)...I still have a ways with Origins though.

I'm finally playing this after buying it on Black Friday. My parents bought me the PS4 Slim bundle for Christmas. I'm on level three and just finished the stolen wood quest. I have already died three times.... Once I accidentally ran straight into a bounty hunter... I thought I was going after the wood thieves, but nope it was the bounty hunter. I took out about 25% of his health and then he killed me with one strong hit.... Another time, a wolf attacked me and alerted a group that I was getting ready to attack. They surrounded me and took me out. I was trying the Obsidian Eye quest and sniped a guy with an arrow, but the alarm went off and I was surrounded and killed again....

I'm returning to gaming after 8-10 years off and these new games have huge worlds. I'm finding targeting with the Eagle difficult. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually. I'm going to attempt to steal the Obsidian Eye again in the morning. Also, I think I used my Skill Points wrong too. I went with the Spartan Kick first since I heard great things about it. I went with the Charged Attack next, but I think maybe I should have went with the Bull Rush first?
