^Looks nice!
I finally got my Stargate up and running, a week or two ago. Still troubleshooting a sound issue, and will have to do some monitor work.
Things should be a lot simpler with units like yours using LCD monitors.

Re: Arcade 1UP
My WM has as stack of these and I almost bought it but I know I will buy it and it will be primarily to impress people who come to my house and not for me to play it beyond the initial few days of owning it. Like almost everything else I own, lol.

I know what you mean. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I have a Raspberry Pi with 1000's of games that just collects dust, lol... I would love to have a Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and possibly NBA Jam lined up next to each other. That would be my junior high self's wet dream! They probably wouldn't get played that often though.

Some of the Walmart stores have a couple of the Arcade1Up cabinets on clearance for $75 (YMMV).
I was able to find the Asteroids cabinet, but not the Centipede cabinet. Brickseek shows one, but the store couldn't find it. The next closest store still has it selling for $150.

Damn two more good ones coming. Now why the fuck can't we just get a disc with all of these?

Whew. That Marvel may be the one. I spent countless quarters on those 3 games.
If only it had 4 sticks and X-Men, but i could see that getting a solo release.

^^ I don't know about that though. I have the Asteroids machine and like others have said it is a compact size. Fitting 4 people around looking at the screen would feel pretty cramped IMO.

Edit: I looked at 1UP's site and it looks like you can the purchase the boards that contain the other game bundles, as well as the controller decks, so they are somewhat modular. Although, the FAQ says you can't modify the machines, but they might mean hacking to add other ROMS.

These things are cool. But I just have a feeling that if I got one, it would be used for about a weekend and then collect dust.

Re: Arcade 1UP
I got one ($75 at Walmart) specifically to put a Raspberry Pi in, not for the few games it stocked. Even then, it will probably end up as a dust collector at some point.

Yeah I’m inclined to agree. Although I do have to say out of the ones they’ve released/announced to date that Turtles one is damn tempting.

Man the Turtles one is so tempting I can't see myself passing. I want the Final Fight, Mortal Kombat and Turtles one badly. The Marvel one I'm on the fence with. I never really played the Marvel fighting games but I would love to have the arcade version of Punisher. If the Marvel cabinet had Spiderman, Punisher and X-Men I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

Turtles is awesome. But I feel like I would be much more likely to replay something like Pac-Man or Burger Time or a fighting game over and over again than a side scrolling brawler where it’s easy to reach the end due to unlimited credits. After beating it there’s not a ton of replay other than going back through to do it with a different character.. I’m content playing it on my 360 every few years.
I am about to get a full size Frogger machine for my office. I’ve been playing that at my grandparents/parents house the last 20+ years, so I know the replay value holds up.
