Aliens vs. Predator
There is an article on this game in the newest OXM and it kind of surprised me. It appears it is a spiritual successor to the oh-so-awesome PC game several years back. Anyone heard anything about this?
I absolutely loved the old PC game so I'm cautiously optimistic about this version.

Re: Aliens vs. Predator
Haven't read much info about the game other than it's made by the same people that made the original and that it's supposed to play a lot like the original. A bunch of screenshots can be found here, and if they are any indication, this game has a lot of potential. Hopefully this game turns out to be as good as it looks

I never played the Jaguar version of the game, which sounds like a shame. I think the only Jaguar games i ever played were a Sim Theme Park game and a Fantasy Zone.

The AvP sidescroller was on SNES, I believe.
As for this, awesome. By far the most fun I ever had doing multiplayer was on AvP 2.

I loved the first but never played AvP2 on the PC. Was it well balanced like the first one was?
I really enjoyed playing the highly mobile and very fragile Aliens. The Predators seemed like unstoppable tanks and the humans also seemed fragile but with tons of ammo.

AvP on the Jaguar was a lot of fun. If Atari had more competent management, the Jaguar could have been a contender.
AvP on the PC was perhaps the most FPS fun I've ever had.

The PC version was very underrated imo. Another underrated PC FPS was the Wheel of Time game. I really enjoyed all the complexity and how the spells countered one another.

HOT!!!
Over at Teamxbox three new screen shots and a very small trialer (1 minute) which is like the new COD with flashes. The screen shots however well....take a look for yourself. If the game is going to look like "THIS" then all we need is some great in game play and we're set. Aliens, Predators and yes Colonial Marines...my oh my.

I know they still have a good ways to go and it's looking good but still a bit rough. They do have the Alien model down and the "heat vision" of Predator as well. Considering it's not scheduled for Q1 - 2010 I say even better is coming later. Still like to hear more on the storyline, time, place and oh yes...co-op.

Teamxbox has a new mini preview up. Half is on the game and the other half about techincal and history. A few new screen shots as well. If it's looking this good "now" and with the game scheduled for the first quater of 2010 you have to be feeling pretty good on the outlook.
