Any idea how limited the large Collector's Edition of this was? My son wanted the Xbox edition for his birthday but it is out of stock everywhere and he said that checked pretty quickly after they all went up for pre-order.

LMAO the dialogue in the trailers are laughably bad. Would be nice if the game showed a little more effort in that particular department.

this can't come soon enough. after finishing Borderlands 3 and then playing DOOM (2016) past few days, i'm just loving it. it plays so fast and and so good. must be 60fps. looks so good too. i can't wait to see what this one has in store. this is probably my most anticipated game of 2020. the only one i know of coming out is new Halo, but i haven't even played 5 yet and barely remember 4. i know they went downhill. but DOOM is just pure fun, run and gun with some exploration. its not an easy game, but i find myself smarter now and actually dodging shots instead of just taking and blasting away. but still so much fun and will be perfect bridge to 3/20...

DOOM 64 is due for release alongside Doom Eternal in just over a week's time, and it transpires that the new version of the classic Nintendo 64 game will also include a whole new additional chapter.
Speaking in an interview with US Gamer, port developer Nightdive Studios revealed that completing the main campaign of Doom 64 will unlock a new chapter in the Doomguy's saga. "The Mother Demon you defeated in that outing had a sister, and since you've been messing up Hell non-stop, she tries to get rid of you by sending you away," revealed James Haley, senior developer on the project. "If you can make your way back and take revenge, you’ll be rewarded with a bit of lore that fans of both series, new and classic, should enjoy."
The new version will also feature, naturally, modernized controls, quality of life improvements like better brightness settings and keyboard and mouse support on Xbox, and an option to toggle the blood between red and the Japanese version's green, if that's your thing.

Doom Eternal will run at 60 fps across
PS4, PS4 PRO, XB1, XB1S and XB1X all run at 60FPS.

Anyone able to download the actual game yet? Usually you can download whole thing this early, only a week and then play on release. I have this Battlemode which is 40Gb, but that must be online and I’m sure not whole game. I just want to be set...

Holy God!!!
This is gonna rock so fucking hard. Just saw some footage where you can really jump/fly greater distances. That looked so cool. New weapons, similar weapons. New enemies, old enemies. Seems like a bigger world they set up, but with same core gameplay as 2016. I can’t fucking wait and I will play on 3/20! Too bad not 4/20, but sooner the better!!

I’m torn between the vanilla game and the Deluxe Edition that comes with a Year 1 pass for two Single Player expansions. It’s $30 more. Hard to know what to do because not only do we not know what these expansions will be, we don’t know the cost. At present to SP isn’t available for purchase so we don’t know if it will cost $30, $40 or $50 on its own. With GCU it will cost me $24 more now so maybe it’s worth it to just buy now. I don’t know.

was the 2016 DLC just MP? i think i got that, but not sure why now...
Oh and I went Deluxe bc this just looks so fucking awesome and I think dlc is SP which is great for me! Having a lot of fun playing 2016 again.

I'm getting the game day 1 without question. Not much more to add at this point (for me at least) until I'm ripping apart demons (while also tending to my neighbors and flowers in AC).
Still undecided if I'll go PC or PS4. Better FPS and overall graphics; office setup; surround sound (PC) or big screen, couch gaming, better sound but only stereo (PS4).

I'm glad I changed my orders from Store Pick Up to Ship It To Me. Still I have both Vanilla and Deluxe versions coming and I don't know which one to keep (or how to return the other).
