Do the haiku parts have any point besides giving you a headband? They seem like a total waste of time. I want to shoot the Golden Bird with a Flaming arrow whenever they lead me to one.

From what I've read and seen...they just like all the different Katana Swords are purely cosmetic with no added bonuses.....that's one area they could've added even just a small % boost but who knows, something they might do later if they add-on or DLC comes....

No other benefit unless you want to get the achievement. Also, birds don't just bring you to haiku spots; they lead you to anything from a fox den to a side quest you haven't started.

Yup still love that FOX. I was following but then I engaged a fight, and after the fight I couldn't find him. I was so worried
I've seen enough of SHIN's bare ass!!!!
How many times have I been thrown off NOBU. I've lost count
I accidentally swung my blade at NOBU, he ran away... a couple of times

Sweetest thing I've had happen is, I was fighting and didn't noticed but it was by a campfire so when I knocked enemy back, yup he became S'mores

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

hello All

I don't know about my issue I posted with the picture above...the one Record Scroll in the Tower....I signed backed in for first time last night, same area and the Tower is still Damaged and half burned...but I didn't get a Thumping in the controller when I was near that area...so no idea if I got it, just vanished, went somewhere else....

...I did see a load of "Golden Frogs" last night...that was funny.....and Ghost Stance is pretty cool and fun....another head went flying....

Another good story for Sucker Punch.....Ghost of Tsushima Has The Most Impressive User Metacritic Score of the Console Generation
....https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2020...ole_generation

...with nearly 15,000 User Scores, it's still sitting at a impressive 9.3 Rating.....a lot of other games have high scores but no-where near that many User Ratings.....

Just wrapped it up and got the platinum. A really well made open world game. Interesting setting and characters and it looks fantastic. I played the whole game with the Japanese dialogue and I thought it fit well.

Congrads and well done....I'm still in Act 2 though probably 2/3 in it but I to have played the game in its entirety with the Japanese Dialogue and yes, it fits the setting perfectly....

Another milestone for GoT.... Ghost of Tsushima is Sony's Fourth Best launch in US History .....https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2020..._in_us_history

Holy shit, that's amazing. I don't recall anything like that ever happening (highly acclaimed single player open world game getting a previously unannounced. free co-op mode added after release) before.

Finally got to spend some decent time with this the past few days. I'm really digging it but I really wish they had a Kurosawa button like the Halo Anniversary games to swap picture modes on the fly. I'm going mostly B&W but I'll flip it over once in awhile to see some color.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

I was sort of glad Sucker Punch didn't go to mythical with Japanese legends and all and the game fits fine as is....However, for those who might have wanted a bit more, there's hope....a game called...Black Myth: Wu Kong...is getting a lot of attention probably thanks to the success of Ghost of Tsushima. Check the 13 minute trailer...looks interesting....

I have a hard time seeing collectibles and golden birds in B&W mode. I love your idea of a quick back and forth. Would be nice if you could do that with language as well.

I do think it's funny that I'm swapping armor all the time. Especially when you call for a Standoff and say Get out here! and then (presumably) politely ask them to wait while you change into more protective armor.

I finally got around to playing more and got the Blowgun....and yep, just tagged one of those Huge Dudes with the "Shooting Stick" and saw 2-3 bodies go flying in the air...I was laughing so hard. However I couldn't find any flowers and went all over the map until i went to the large Field in the middle of the map NE of the Temple...and got the Family Armor maxed out...almost done with Act 2....one last Duel, few odd's here and there and gather the troops...

looks like I'll have to contact Sucker Punch CS though....i still have an issue with getting one Scroll Record in that picture I posted in the Fort Tower....I went back there today for the first time in a week and I started to get the thumping on the controller right when i got near the gate. And the Tower is still damaged and all and not like it is in that picture....

I just moved on to Act 3. The end of Act 2 is a long, long mission. And a gut punch as well.

I finished it the other day. 8.5/10 for me. But nowhere near GOTY or worth playing a second time through.

Curious, what would you put above it for 2020 GoTY so far? I can see an argument for Animal Crossing but that's all I can think of (for what's been released so far).

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

Yeah, I knew this game didn't get the rapturous reviews of TLoU2, but there isn't a game I've enjoyed more in 2020. This game is so fun and massive. It's my kind of game, as I have put many, many hours into similar games like Far Cry, Assassin's Creed Origins and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Only barely starting Act 3 and I have almost maxed out my skill tree and the only spots I have left are for things like throwing black powder bombs, which I never use. After that, I guess you just use them to find fox dens and hot springs.

And I wonder about the Mongol's resource management. Seems to me like they should keep more behind to protect their forts and not bother sending six well armed soldiers to escort back one peasant prisoner in wrist bindings.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

All I have left in Act 2 is attack the Fort....Act 2 has been unreal with a lot of action, surprises and emotion a roller coaster of action to peaceful time. If anything stands out...it's been the almost flawless gameplay without lots of bugs & glitches...though I have one with a record scroll but other than that, compared to a lot of other games I've played over the years, it's been spot on......

The blowgun is just too darn fun....yesterday with one of those groups of seven, I tagged The Leader who took out four in no time....I hit him with a arrow to get his attention and he came running. I hid in the flowers, came up behind him and off went his head.....
