Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

I used the Sakai clan armor mostly.

As for the ending, I chose the "peaceful" route on my game and then went for the "vengeful" route on NG+ just to I could see both.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

I used the Sakai Armor a lot but i found the Samurai Clan Armor best suited for me...didn't excell in one area but it does provide a boost to Resolve which comes in handy in those duels for obvious reasons while providing boost in Health and Damage Reduction.

I took "Vengeful"....using the Samurai Logic & Code that Uncle relies and breaths on the whole game...be interesting to see how Ghost 2 will shape up story wise...a few possible ways, enemies, friends....

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

I started playing this game again this weekend after just playing the first couple of days after I got it. I think I’m about to finish Act I as I’m just waiting for Taka to build me the siege weapon. It’s fun playing this on a PS5 with the Pulse 3D headset.

Not really surprised at this as I thought the game offered and had the best balance in what to do, can be done, side quests available and main story...Platinum this game is not hard one bit while enjoying everything it has to offer....just hope a lot of DEVS out there take note...

Regardless of trophy difficulty, 50% still seems high given the length of the game.

Impressive though.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

I finished New Game+ and somehow had gotten crappier in dueling because I’m sure I finished the final boss battle a lot more quickly the first time.

This is the kind of game I could keep roaming around in for a long time, so I forced myself to put it away and play a different game.

Rumors are bubbling up about a standalone expansion -- a la Uncharted: Lost Legacy or Spider-Man: Miles Morales -- called Ghost of Ikeshima that's targeted for this year.

I would hope for more...Ubisoft does it with AC Games all the time and GoT would be ideal to tie us all over till GoT2 hits.....

First Light is an even better comp! Surprised when I just looked it up and it came out <6 months after Second Son.

First Light was so short though. I hope it's more like Miles Morales which felt almost like a full new sequel rather than an expansion.

$20 for the PS4 version if you already own the standard PS4 version.
$30 for the PS5 version if you already own the standard PS4 version.

Honestly, that's a little disappointing... But I'll probably get it anyway. Damn fine game.

$30 feels a little steep, mainly because I'm sure it'll be more like $40 CAD, or more.

Darn it, I already played through once on normal and once on New Game+, but I’ll be in for this too.

Yeah, same here. I'll have to download it on my PS5 to reacquaint myself with the controls before it drops.

I’m interested, but new Iyo (or similar style) chapters will seal the deal for all my friends.

New Story trailer...I haven't touched the game including Legends for several months and after seeing this I was like, wow this looks really good and part of GoT like the game itself.....

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

Bought and downloaded the PS5 expansion/upgrade. Played for a couple of minutes tonight. Finally a PS5 game that is dead simple to transfer your game save progress!
Duplicates all earned trophies which is nice.

Honestly it doesn’t look that much better, because it looks so so good on a PS4. But wow is the Dual Sense awesome in this game for everything. Wind, horse, bow, katana. All feels so amazing. Definitely looking forward to playing some expansion over the weekend. Totally worth the $30 price.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

I started the Iki island yesterday...I haven't touched it in months with Legends the last I've played but really forgot just how great this game looks...and plays. However has anyone experienced the audio cutting out during scenes?....I mean I have nothing from Jin but I do have it (and played the entire game) on Japanese Language. i missed out on the audio portion of Him and The Eagle. Even had the issue when he rescued someone.

Speaking of Legends...has anyone played it lately and seen others playing....suppose to be released as a stand-alone.

100% agree--the haptics upgrade alone is incredible, just so well done and adds a whole new feel to the game. I had barely started a NG+ after I finished the first time back in Feb., so I kept playing until I opened up the new Island and then played a bit there. Very cool new element to the bad guys, and I'll definitely be taking my time. I'd forgotten how amazing this game really is, and I'm def. happy w/getting the expansion/PS5 upgrade (and yeah loved the simplicity of the save file transfer).

I think I like the Bow the best now after the Dual Sense integration. It just feels so perfect and intuitive. I find myself using the bow in battles much more than I used to in the base game.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima (PS4; 7/17/20)

Lucky me, I didn't save my PS4 save files before selling my PS4 Pro, so I get to start this new version from scratch
I'm actually 100% ok with this, because I played the full game in Kurosawa mode the first time around. This time, I'll play in full color.
