Capcom and Laced Records have announced that the Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 original soundtracks will be coming to vinyl in April 2019, as a pair of deluxe double-vinyl collections. Composed by the Capcom Sound Team, comprising Masami Ueda, Makoto Tomozawa, and Akira Kaida, the game's unnerving survival horror scores have come to define the series, setting a benchmark for the genre.
Each soundtrack has been remastered especially for this upcoming vinyl release, which will be pressed into "audiophile heavyweight deluxe double-vinyl 180g LPs" available in standard black or marbled red and blue vinyls (pictured above), with striking gatefold sleeves. Both records are scheduled to release in North America and EMEA territories, for $35/€33 each.
The Resident Evil original soundtrack vinyl features 44 tracks from the 2002 GameCube remake, while the Resident Evil 2 original soundtrack includes 31 tracks from the 1998 original PlayStation version of the game. Both vinyl releases are scheduled to ship sometime in April 2019.

The Sewers
Ok had a very
moment
I got some items from storage box and then tried to save. It said unable to save, tried multiple times and nothing. When I tried to load my auto or manual or save, IT WAS GONE!
Even Auto saves weren't registering when I played on.
So I quit game fully and restarted it, SAVES WERE BACK

This really has taken me by surprise. Really didn’t know anything about it, but seemed reminiscent of 4, one of favs, but I know different. The close quarters and puzzle figuring out and such limited ammo and health is tough. But oh so fun!

Is the Claire game that much different, if at all, than Leon’s? Enemy wise or story wise? Does Ada play apart with Claire’s?

For example:
Spoiler:
Just play it. Only takes like 5-7 hours depending on how quick you are. Speed runs in less than an hour, but imo speedruns take the fun out of it. I'm not there to rush it, I'm there to play it at my leisure! =P

Finished LEON play-through B today. Great remake!
remake RE3 soon, then CODE VERONICA (which is my favorite)
Tried 4th Survivor, like 7 times, gave up on it.
Also tried all DLC and completed them... on training difficulty
, fuck that frustrating higher difficulty.
Done for now, will do LEON A / CLAIRE B when RE3 remake is released.

Played through Leon A / Claire B. Overall, a great experience...
What I liked:
A few quibbles:
What I liked:
- It had the perfect survival experience I've come to expect from this series, where you always have just enough ammo to get through each area and encounter.
- Letting you know on the map what areas you've fully explored was a helpful "quality of life" addition (I don't recall this feature in previous entries).
- Graphics and gameplay were fresh and fun, it was interesting that this was built on the same engine as Resident Evil 7 (which played very differently in a lot of ways).
A few quibbles:
- The game did not do a good job of explaining how the A/B scenarios worked, it just assumed you "knew" from playing the original game (which I have not).
- It was a little odd that I was solving a lot of the same puzzles and fighting the same enemies in the "B" scenario when it is supposed to have been a parallel story. Yes, there were differences and new areas but in my mind it should have been a completely different interlocking experience.
- The dialogue and voice acting were not up to par with Resident Evil 7 -- very cheesy for the most part, even if was an improvement over the older games.

i still don't understand this multiple playthroughs and differences. usually i just play, finish and that's it, maybe a dlc down the line, but i'm usually burnt and ready to move on...

The intent with this game is that you play the "A" story with one character, and then play the "B" story with the other character to see the full story and the true ending. It also unlocks an additional mode.

It was called A/B in the original. It's called 2nd Run in the remake.
Anyhow Claire's 1st Run and Leon's 2nd Run in the remake is the closest runs to what was considered the "canon" route in the original.

It will say “second run”? I’m sorry, I so confused. Can I play once, finish it, move on to something else and not miss a lot? If I’m playing for first time, is that considered “first run”?

Yes, so the first time through is your "first run". It will then unlock a "second run" for the other character to show their side of the story. If you don't do both runs, you will miss approximately 1/3 of the content and the true ending.
None of this is explained well in-game, and I was confused myself at first.

You can then play that run even though you never played his 1st run.
If you beat Leon's first run, it unlocks Claire's second run.
Technically to 100% the game, you have to play all four runs.
If you don't want to play all four, then I suggest playing Claire's 1st run and Leons 2nd run at least.

Eh, seems a bit much. And I got too much good stuff to get back to. Even taking a break from this to give Anthem a shot...

Leon's second run if you're going really slow would still be completed in 5hrs.
Most people would probably get them done a bit quicker than that.
Surely you can play 12 hours or less...
Why buy a game if you're content with only playing 25% of it before moving on?
Shoot the last game I played before RE2remake was "Trails of Cold Steel" which took about 100hrs to complete... which took me several months of playing. Now I'm on "Trails of Cold Steel 2" and I'm only about 35% through it and already at about 45 hours of play time. So RE2remake is very short in comparison.

I don’t play much. I want too, but maybe a couple hours on weekends is all I get. So even a short game takes me months...

But, if gameplay and runs similar, not really think I’m missing much just to get a true ending or whatever. I like to play once and then move on.

It's up to you, of course, but there are new areas and story points you are missing out on, and at least one new playable character.

Having just replayed the PS1 original, which was still fun. Here's 2 things I wish the remake had:
- Being able to stomp on bodies on floor when they grab your leg
- Bodies bleeding knowing they're dead
and these sucked on original
- No reloading
- Hard to detect items due to being obstructed by furniture and stuff due to fixed camera
- No quick map
- No labeling on map

I only played the original briefly back when this game came out, I couldn't afford a PlayStation - I remember really liking it though. The remake is really nice. I love how they kept it old school as well.
The game looks amazing on the One-X - lighting is top notch. I'm normally not a fan of puzzle games but with the resident evil series it has always felt rewarding.
