Dying Light: Bad Blood Is Now Free to All Dying Light Players

In order to get a free copy of Bad Blood, you need to head to the Dying Light dockets site, either login or register an account, and then link your Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox account if you haven’t already.

Once that’s done, and you own Dying Light on the platform you linked, a banner should appear on the website that says you’re eligible for a free copy of Dying Light: Bad Blood on PC. Just click on that banner and follow the instructions to get your Steam code.

Don't think that will take off on the consoles right now...it's another Battle Royal mode in the middle of already countless dozens all over the place on a game that's...hard to believe...Five Years Old. Bad Blood came out back late 2018 on top of that. It's a different twist to Battle Royal games of today but has one element that's close to The Division. You have 12 players all fighting over certain val's who then fight to get on-board a chopper...shades of The Division Dark Zone. Don't know how this fared with PC Players but to drop this now in console players laps after that long....I don't know.

Dying Light 2 Reportedly "A Total Mess", Morale at Techland Hitting "An All-Time Low"

Announced almost two years ago, information on Dying Light 2 has been released fairly sporadically since then, and the game had been scheduled to release this spring. While currently without a release window, development on the game may be suffering, with a new report alleging that Dying Light 2 is "a total mess".

A report on Polish website https://polskigamedev.pl/dying-light-2-totalna-rozsypka-vs-tak-sie-robi-gry/ (translated by Twitter user
) features testimony from devs at Techland, claiming that "morale is at an all-time low, [and] leadership has no idea what they're doing". One Techland employee apparently states that "Dying Light 2 is a total mess," adding, "first we had focus on story, then focus on gameplay... non-stop changing game mechanics."

Apparently the studio doesn't even have a 'vertical slice' (a build that showcases many of the game's features, a proof of concept, sometimes for preview purposes), and there's concern over whether all of the game's bugs will be fixed in time for launch. Staff in leadership roles have reportedly interfered with writer Chris Avellone's vision for the game, too, with an anonymous Techland staffer claiming that the story "won't be good".

"Everything looks to be pretty scripted. Bring this, talk to him, kill here and there. Depth has all but disappeared from Chris' work. He wanted the game to be empathetic, psychologically extensive and multifaceted," the anonymous source said. "Chris is a person that has done good for Techland. Leadership trusts him, and has given him a role with a lot of responsibilities that he's not very good at. You need specific mindset and skillset, that he does not possess. He's not stupid, but he bears too much on his shoulders."

The report also alleges that demands being placed on Techland's devs are simply too much, with some staff members feeling burnt out, while organisation at the highest levels is said to be an "embarrassment". Should the report prove to be accurate, it paints a fairly bleak picture of working conditions at Techland, and it doesn't bode too well for Dying Light 2, what seems like a promising sequel with grand 'choice and consquence' ambitions.

We'll have more on Dying Light 2 as we get it.
