Dying Light: Bad Blood Is Now Free to All Dying Light Players

In order to get a free copy of Bad Blood, you need to head to the Dying Light dockets site, either login or register an account, and then link your Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox account if you haven’t already.

Once that’s done, and you own Dying Light on the platform you linked, a banner should appear on the website that says you’re eligible for a free copy of Dying Light: Bad Blood on PC. Just click on that banner and follow the instructions to get your Steam code.

Don't think that will take off on the consoles right now...it's another Battle Royal mode in the middle of already countless dozens all over the place on a game that's...hard to believe...Five Years Old. Bad Blood came out back late 2018 on top of that. It's a different twist to Battle Royal games of today but has one element that's close to The Division. You have 12 players all fighting over certain val's who then fight to get on-board a chopper...shades of The Division Dark Zone. Don't know how this fared with PC Players but to drop this now in console players laps after that long....I don't know.

Dying Light 2 Reportedly "A Total Mess", Morale at Techland Hitting "An All-Time Low"

Announced almost two years ago, information on Dying Light 2 has been released fairly sporadically since then, and the game had been scheduled to release this spring. While currently without a release window, development on the game may be suffering, with a new report alleging that Dying Light 2 is "a total mess".

A report on Polish website https://polskigamedev.pl/dying-light-2-totalna-rozsypka-vs-tak-sie-robi-gry/ (translated by Twitter user
) features testimony from devs at Techland, claiming that "morale is at an all-time low, [and] leadership has no idea what they're doing". One Techland employee apparently states that "Dying Light 2 is a total mess," adding, "first we had focus on story, then focus on gameplay... non-stop changing game mechanics."

Apparently the studio doesn't even have a 'vertical slice' (a build that showcases many of the game's features, a proof of concept, sometimes for preview purposes), and there's concern over whether all of the game's bugs will be fixed in time for launch. Staff in leadership roles have reportedly interfered with writer Chris Avellone's vision for the game, too, with an anonymous Techland staffer claiming that the story "won't be good".

"Everything looks to be pretty scripted. Bring this, talk to him, kill here and there. Depth has all but disappeared from Chris' work. He wanted the game to be empathetic, psychologically extensive and multifaceted," the anonymous source said. "Chris is a person that has done good for Techland. Leadership trusts him, and has given him a role with a lot of responsibilities that he's not very good at. You need specific mindset and skillset, that he does not possess. He's not stupid, but he bears too much on his shoulders."

The report also alleges that demands being placed on Techland's devs are simply too much, with some staff members feeling burnt out, while organisation at the highest levels is said to be an "embarrassment". Should the report prove to be accurate, it paints a fairly bleak picture of working conditions at Techland, and it doesn't bode too well for Dying Light 2, what seems like a promising sequel with grand 'choice and consquence' ambitions.

We'll have more on Dying Light 2 as we get it.

re: Dying Light 2 (12/7/2021: PC, PS, XB)

Little has been mentioned about where Dying Light 2 was much of last year except more delays and pushed back...back in Febuary some evidence from former Techland employees came to light about the game basically in...Chaos and Disarray.....

Dying Light 2 development is total chaos, according to new report Dying Light 2 development is total chaos, according to new report (game-debate.com)

Shortly afterward Techland CEO promised a update on the status of the game trying to "water down" the reports a few weeks back....well yesterday he released something that pretty much was nothing including a "13 seconds in game video".....the included video is 2:47 almost all with those from Techland talking about the game...don't blink because you'll miss the 13 seconds of in game play....at least we have Left-4-Dead: Back4Blood coming in June along with Aliens Fireteam.....don't see this game coming out for awhile...sadly...

I see the light in this one slowly dying. I wonder if it was for having a lack of a clear direction for the sequel or people simply at odds with each other.

Last month several sites had stories from former Techland Employees who all painted the same picture and said the same things; chaoa, uncertainty, no clear vision, changing course & direction while the Top People didn't want to listen to any ideas....plus several said the attomspere was toxic and it didn't help that the CEO's Wife was in charge of HR...despite zero experience. High profile people were hired including a 30 year veteran from Ubisoft to help restructure the Design Process and Flow but he was shutdown and told no-thanks. Anothjer longtime veteran at Techland wanted to bring in either Unreal or Unity to make the development more traditional but he was denied and ended up leaving.

And when people left and were replaced by others, they were basically told to listen and if they brought up ideas...more or less shown the door or given the impression sit and do as you're told. And those who were there for awhile said even the CEO was listening to others outside the studio more than inside....this article from PSU had the most in it and worth the read....
