I would use water on a paper towel honestly. Or a q-tip.

Old Boy -- with a billion options to clean something (from logical to lethal), don't use alcohol... ok? Just go get a Clorox wipe and you're done.

Also, nickdawgy, congrats on standing up in this thread and being "the man". I was going to remind you that the NES Classic is coming back for $60 in late June.

So don’t respond if you think it’s a pointless thread. And I saw that about the classic. I might eBay mine and try and recoup as much as I can and possibly buy it later. It’s like that $5 movie you haven’t seen since high school. You buy it, watch it once, and it ends up sitting on your shelf.

I remember back to being a kid, we had an Atari 5200. My mother decided the controllers need to be cleaned so she took them apart and soaked them in soap and water.

Relax

Yes you can use wipes, you are cleaning plastic.

If you need to take the controller apart there are many videos online to help. I just now cleaned my XBox One Elite Controller for the second time. Took it completely apart, cleaned the parts, lubricated them, cleaned the thumbstick undersides that become notchy with build up and wiped it down with a Lysol wipe and put it back together. 15 minutes and ready for action.
