What's your gamertag?

whysoblu - I'm part of the DOA clan, as well. What's hilarious is that there's a new clan that sprouted up called FDOA - haters that keep getting obliterated by us.

I'll look you up when I fire up the Xbox again. (My GT is Tuesday Weld.)

What do you think of the new maps? Egypt is alright, but Dunkirk and V2 are shit. I spawn directly in front of enemies repeatedly in every. single. game.

I just wonder how they're going to be able to scale the game to accommodate 100 players. As it is, the regular modes are going down to 5v5. I guess we'll see.

I'm on PS4 but not on Black Ops III anymore. I just do IW now.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII (yes, IIII, not IV)

So it's been confirmed that BlopsIIII will include at least FIVE remastered maps from older games. Some people are a little upset at this, calling it lazy. I, on the other hand, feel it would be awesome if they eventually give us something like 15 remastered maps, but also keep the original map count on par with previous games.

I think they might be learning from the mistake WWII made by only releasing with 9 maps.

So.... Treyarch is staying with the season pass model it seems. The wording I'm seeing is weird. It mentions 12 maps, but is that 12 bonus maps, or are they just saying the game is launching with 12 maps?

https://www.polygon.com/2018/6/13/17...son-pass-price

Black Ops 4 DLC to be sold exclusively in season pass

And the season pass is currently available only in the special editions

Activision is employing a different downloadable content plan for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 this year. Although the new setup is meant to provide players with a more regular cadence of DLC releases, Activision’s all-or-nothing sales strategy for the add-ons is less customer-friendly than it used to be.

In previous years, Activision offered a Call of Duty season pass that covers multiple post-launch DLC packs — four of them released over the course of a year, usually. As you’d expect, it was cheaper to purchase the season pass than to buy the add-ons individually. For instance, the season pass for 2017’s Call of Duty: WWII costs $49.99, while the DLC packs cost $14.99 each (for a total of $59.96).

This time around, Activision and developer Treyarch are offering a package called the Black Ops Pass for Black Ops 4. It will give players a “bonus Zombies experience” named Classified at launch; fans are speculating that Classified consists of a remastered version of Five, a beloved Zombies map from 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Here’s what else is included in the Black Ops Pass:

4 Additional All-New Zombies Experiences
12 Multiplayer Maps
4 Exclusive Blackout Characters

.....the bigger problem is that Activision won’t be selling any of the Black Ops Pass content individually: You’ll have to buy all of it or none of it.

“The contents included in Black Ops Pass may only be purchased as a bundle,” the publisher said in the FAQ. In essence, Activision is forcing Black Ops 4 players to decide between two unappealing options: forking over $40 (or more) for a yearlong schedule of DLC — sight unseen — or not being able to play any of the game’s post-release content.

Losing the solo, campaign and co-op part was bad enough for me but this "Buy It or Not Use It" strategy is just arrogance on parade....they'll get their players...but so will Red Dead, Battlefield V and Assassin's Creed Odyssey all releasing the same month....

Treyarch revealed at San Diego Comic-Con that there will be yet another special edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 dubbed the 'Mystery Box Edition'.

As the name suggests, this special edition of the game comes packaged up in the grim new mystery box look and comes with all sorts of extra goodies. Not only is the packaging a replica of the box but it also lights up and makes eerie noises when you open it up. Treyarch going the whole way for the creep factor it seems.

As for the extra goodies, along with a physical copy of the game it will also include Zombie Heroes FiGPiNs, a 10th anniversary 1,000 piece zombies puzzle, the first issue of Dark Horse's Zombies comic with an exclusive cover, three lithographs, a skull-logo Black Ops 4 PopSocket, collectible steelbook with unique art, icon patches and a Black Ops Pass.

You can check out the graphic detailing and showcasing everything that will be heading to the Mystery Box Edition of Call of Duty: Blacks Ops 4 which is set to release on 12th October.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII (yes, IIII, not IV)

Anybody playing the beta? It seems so hectic! IDK if the maps are just tiny, or what. So far I'm not really loving it, and I may cancel my pre-order. I'm sick of the futuristic settings and hate that there can only be a certain number of each specialist. Not to mention they've totally neutered equipment and lethals.

It's obvious they've made this game with competitive games like Overwatch in mind. They've removed all strategy from the CoD formula. It's 100% run and gun now.

JTH - have you given Rainbow 6: Siege a chance? It's much more calculated... Once I got into that, I put my CoD days behind me. I still play it from time to time but the absolute chaos is what made me bail -- and this sounds worse than previous iterations.

I played a Rainbow 6 game a long time ago for PC, and it was enjoyable. My ideal CoD games were from CoD4 to Blops2, but it seems those days aren't coming back. I think I'm going to stick with Fortnite for a while. That game is just pure fun for me.

I'll try the Blackout mode in September, see if the bigger map makes things better.

Check callofduty.com/beta - they didn't send my code, but it was posted on that site (assuming you put your original code for pre-ordering into that site)
