Unboxed my statue at lunch. It's a little more violent than I was expecting. Nice detail work though.
Here it is on my Collector's Edition shelf (with my MGS V robotic arm behind it). A little too graphic for a pediatrician's office, but what can you do?
It also came with a nice large cloth map that I will likely have no use for. All the writing is in runes.
Also a couple of tiny stone figures.

Finally started, the first hour is kinda slow and I was all too glad to be done with the Jared Leto fight that went on entirely too long, but fun game so far. Definitely more Tomb Raider/Uncharted/Horizon.

Sony Santa Monica has released a new God of War update, enabling you to ramp up the size of the game's rather tiny text. Applying to subtitles, maps, goals, codex and resources tabs in the menu, the update means less of a need to squint or press your nose up to the screen to read text.
The update adds a new slider with which to alter text sixe in the Accessibility page of the options menu, and also implements a handful of bug fixes to boot. Sony Santa Monica states that it's looking into other areas where improvements can be deployed in God of War, with more of these small updates planned.

Seriously, I never understood why developers in the HD era have always thought tiny pixels MUST be used for tiny text. There is a very large percentage of the population with questionable eyesight.
Even if this weren't common sense, there was a huge blowup right at the beginning of the 360 era, with the original Dead Rising. You'd think the point had been made..

My eyes suck but 106" screen helps.

Same here, no problems reading text on a 135" screen
I'm a little over a dozen hours in and this game is just awesome. Some of the spectacles have been so crazy and entertaining that it's been hard to stop playing at times. Hard mode is really starting to get difficult now, and I'm kinda stuck at the end of a side mission that I spent over an hour on last night trying to finish. But I refuse to bump it down to normal for now!

I finally got past the part I was stuck at. Took a break and came back, tried for about an hour, and finally got past it. Without bumping the difficulty down
I just wish I would have gotten a better drop from the side quest, but oh well.
Maybe I'm missing something with the blue door portals you can find and resurrect with the stone, but why are so many still showing up locked on my map once I find them?

There's Destiny armor and weapons to upgrade in this game?

I just fought my first fight with a valkyrie, they're hard to beat. Going have to find better gears and fight them later cause I died too many times.

Finished up the main game...now to have fun exploring and finishing up all the side missions.
Easily the best game I have played this generation. From the graphics, to the story (maybe one of the best ever in a video game) to the acting, to the interactions between characters, to the combat which flows so well when you put effort into it, to the level design, to the upgrade system..everything.
Multiple moments of chills...
It will take a long time to set in, but right now this is above Bloodborne for the best game this generation. I just can't get over how much effort and quality was put into this.
I usually don't care for DLC, but honestly I would not hesitate a second to buy it for this game. It deserves all the 10's it is getting.
I only have 2 more Valkyries left, one other side mission...and a crap load of collectibles, but I would guess I will have my plat in about another 5 hours or so. That will put my playtime in the 50 hour range when I am done.
