The longer it went, the worse it looked. Graphics, ugh. Overemphasis on guns, ugh. (Captain Boomerang fires a friggin' gun!) Battle pass, ugh. Gear score, ugh. Shoot the purple orbs on everything, ugh. I know this State of Play was meant to build some more hype, but it honestly dropped the game from "day one!" to "maybe I shouldn't do this to myself".

The game play looks ok but hopefully it doesn't become repetitive. The only thing giving me bad vibes is the graphics and bad character design. Reminds me of the Avengers game where most of the characters look like Great Value versions. Here, Luthor looks like Vin Diesel in a Spirit Halloween Punisher suit and Wonder Woman looks like the stunt double for Queen Maeve in the Boys. Also, Ezra Miller is the worst thing that could happen to the Flash and I hate that his mannerisms and take on the character have been copy/paste in the game.

Nothing in the article confirms its delayed because of people's reaction, just for polish. Jason Schrier, shit stirrer and gossip queen, strikes again. More than alluded to reaction being the reason for the delay in his headline before it was updated. I like his deep dive investigations, but so much of his day to day material is clickbait at Bloomberg, this included.

I thought the game looked fine enough. It's going to be the same game whenever it's finally released, maybe with more frames or whatever. I'm looking forward to playing it when it comes out.
