I have to see it in action and what version of the Suicide Squad they’re incorporating. The announcement doesn’t get me particularly excited to be honest, but Rocksteady makes good games generally.

I feel like there’s potential for the game to become Harley centric with the others taking a backseat. Hoping that isn’t the case.

I've read that this is going to be a game-as-a-service style, similar to Destiny and the upcoming potential dumpster fire The Avengers. I'd bet that it were a traditional single player game, it'd absolutely be Suicide Squad starring Harley Quinn.

If it is similar to the Batman Arkham games and they incorporate it to the same world, this game will have tons of potential. The Arkham series already has featured some of the Suicide Squad members like Harley, Bane, Deadshot, Penguin, Joker, Poison Ivy, Solomon Grundy and Deathstroke.

Yes, but in the Arkham games you are playing as the Batman. Maybe there are people out there who give a fuck about the Suicide Squad and want to play as those characters, but I sure don’t. This should have been a new Batman or for the love of God SUPERMAN game.

Crazy how that Suicide Squad game is still like 2 years away (assuming it never gets delayed). Arkham Knight came out in 2015.

I know different studio, but I am surprised that those two games would come out within a year of each other.

All the previous Arkham games came within 2 years of each other. I guess these 2 games had been planned for a while and maybe their release was supposed to be sooner but COVID delayed those plans.

I'm glad those 2 come out back to back though. By the time we are finished with one, the next one gets released.

The rumors are that Montreal was working on a Suicide Squad game that was canned near the end of 2016. Sometime around then — about the same time Arkham VR was released — Rocksteady started theirs.

Avengers didn't bomb because of the live service model. It had bad early buzz from the look of the characters and then was a mediocre game on release. If the game was great and people were actually excited for it no way it would have bombed.

The game looks really interesting. I'm guessing that the seven JL members are the bosses of the game with Brainiac or Starro or Eclipso being the final villain. Like the concept but got a feeling there's a lot of stealth missions to avoid going one on one with any of the seven in combat.

It's pretty obvious from the trailer that either something is controlling them or they've been replaced by the Injustice Society (or some combination of both).

It's pretty obvious from the trailer considering Superman's face is all veiny and evil looking that they are being controlled by someone or are evil versions of the JL. You don't need to know backstory to notice that. Also no one knows the backstory since this is a new story. It's not connected to the DC movies so not sure where you are getting Waller and Bats "being besties" from.
