Is it reasonable to assume, MM and SM2 have same basic mechanics as the first? Nothing to learn again or anything…

I’ll tell ya. This is easily the most fun pick up and play games I’ve played in sometime. There’s so much freaking to do. And, it matters to do it so you can upgrade. Just love the ingenuity that went into this game.

This might have been talked about in other thread, but can you bring your souped up Spidey from 1 into SM2? What about all the suits?

No. They are individual games.
No need to worry about not having a "souped up Spidey" as they supercharged how you level with Miles Morales. At the beginning of SM2 you won't necessarily be the badass you were at the end of Spidey 1 or Miles Morales, but you get there very quickly.

Some of Spideys suits you can buy look really cool snd that they have a power is awesome. I want so many, but many need challenge tokens. I have not been able to do one. I just don’t like the timed events. Especially stealth challenges. When I do stealth without being timed, I like to take my time, highlight the enemies and develop a strategy. But, these timed ones, I cannot do and thus dont get some of the cool suits with a cool special ability. I was able to buy one with a cool metallic looking suit with a bullet absorption ability. I admit I’m going to try and use online videos to do those. Because I wants some of those suits with unique ability.

So, I’m 70% complete, 42 level, have a good Spidey suit thanks to. Completing 2 challenges!, fought maybe 4 big bosses, a few little ones, I don’t know what you call them. The secondary mini-bosses like Tombstone. But, is it me or are the boss battles kind of easy? I haven’t died once in any battle except when I was drugged and following Otto.
I’m also going to do the combat challenge as I’ve become pretty adept. It pays to study the moves. There are so many, but I utilize the good ones.

Just finished off Scorpion and Rhino. I guess thats what, 3 left? Doc Ock, Taskmaster and I think someone else still loose, maybe Li, I think. So, I hope to finish this weekend. Then play MM, then I think back to Immortals of Aveum. Have to learn all the spells again. Or maybe FF VII: Intergrade.

Just got my PS5 earlier in the week. Picked up Spider-Man: Miles Morales last night which includes the first game. I never had a PS4 so my first time playing.
I’ve been playing for about five hours today and it’s pretty fun. I just did the part where you team up with the cop (Jefferson) searching one of Kingpin’s warehouses. Chased down the truck with some of the Demon thugs and that’s where I left off.
Definitely look forward to playing the other two games (Spider-Man 2 was bundled with the console).

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)
well, looks like i'm just about to wrap this up. went to my next story mission and before i went in, game told me to do what i can before i proceed to the end story level.
i gotta say, it took me two tries, but i really enjoyed the heck out of this game. i have to admit, this is probably the first time i really payed attention to the story and it turned out to be a pretty amazing story with some heart strings tugged at and just enough to keep the pulse racing constantly. i was so anticipating the whole how did Miles turn thing and it too was cool. i had a lot of fun, a lot.
the only parts i didn't love were some of the circuitry puzzles and those challenges were damn hard. also, wasn't much of a fan of the non-Spider-Man levels (when you play as Peter, MJ, Miles). it was cool and i do like stealth, but took me a little out. it was fun figuring out what to do and how to get around sneakily. all the stealth aspects were really well done.
there was just a chockful to do and all of it was meaningful and had purpose. getting those tokens to gear up and power up was a thrill. i finally sought out and got the final suit i wanted (the Ghost Rider Spidey suit). maxed out at level 50 and now a little beyond and probably gonna finish tomorrow.
what a great ride.
i think i will play Miles Morales next, maybe, probably (as i do see that as a continuation of SM1, like a DLC of sorts), and then maybe back to Immortals of Aveum or Final Fantasy VII.
on to the last fight with...
who knows. i guess i'll see soon enough...

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)
OMG! This game was one of the best games I have ever played. Probably rate it 3rd best (behind RE4 and Red Dead Redemption 1, and those were so long ago) and I haven't had an experience like that in some time. That ending blew me away and I actually cried, really. With tears and all. It was tense, thrilling and so emotional. I really had no idea the impact it would have when the end credits rolled. I sighed, took a breath and just digested from what I just played and accomplished. Just amazing!

I have all the DLC’s but heard they weren’t so great, so I decided to move on. Now, when you say that I think that dlc is frustrating and not worth it.

DLC doesn't hold up to the main game but it's still better than most other game content. Nothing wrong with moving straight to MM though. Especially since it's Dec now and that game takes place during Christmas.
