Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)

Not very many chases outside of Shocker and pigeons (and Black Cat). I like the variety of missions and play styles.
The side missions get repetitive. Chase cars. Clear hideouts. Fight in alleys. Sneak around stealthy.
The boss fights are quite diverse. Next time you meet Shocker, you won’t have to chase him… but you will need to… oh, I’ll let you be surprised.
Have fun!

That sounds great. I’m glad I got the tough stuff over with. I know more to come, but chases and timed missions just not my thing. But, this game certainly has a grip on me now. It’s all I want to play.

Not to hurry you along, but the Spider-man: Miles Morales game is great too. A spiritual successor to this game with a smaller story and skill set but great on action and storytelling.
But take your time with this and explore the city and have a blast!

Oh, I’ll enjoy. Thx. I find my head swaying back and forth as I swing. It’s so funny. But, yeah looking forward to MM bc I just saw Into Spider-Verse again. But, yeah, this game is a blast and the fluidity of swinging and great combat mechanics are really well done. Fighting style so much like the Arkham games. Very much to like with some minor hiccups, like pigeons stealing flash drives!

Is this game like 75% chase sequences and 25 fighting? I’m about 22% finished which for all I know is halfway done in my world (never finding all secrets and stuff), but it seems chase heavy. I’m getting through, but not much fighting as of yet. I took out thugs who were holding other thugs if that helps where I am. Kinda want to see if it changes. I’m not saying bad, but I always hated these type of things.

When it says I’m 46% completion, does that include extras and side missions or just the main campaign story? I think I’ve only had one boss fight until now. Are there more, like with all the posters in Dr. Octavius’ office? The rogues and what I’m assuming is leading up to Dr. Ock?

There is a fair amount of chasing, but I generally skipped the timed stuff. And there should be several boss battles IIRC.

I’m really getting into the swing of this game. Just beat Mr. Li. How far along is that?
Anyway, it’s really fun and flows so nicely.
I just wish I could do everything, but I think I just want to burn through main story but still doing some side missions. I just took down Tombstone in one side.
But, I just wish I could remember all the moves. They seem like simple button combos, but there are so many of them. And, switching webs I hardly ever use. I don’t think I even or know how to use my gadgets.
Still kicking ass. Loved this style of fighting in Arkham series and love it here. I’ve learned to dodge finally and boy is that handy.
I don’t know how the hell someone could 100% this game. I mean much applause, but there is so much to do in the city. No way I would come close.
Having a ball more and more now.
Really clicking. If I had to hate one thing, it’s those circuit puzzles and the discover the chemical puzzles. I usually try for awhile and then skip them since I’m not interested in 100%.
I’m so glad this is giving me my itch back.

Man, I’m not even close to being done. All I’ve fought was Shocker part 1, Tombstone, and I think Kingpin. And, Mr. Negative.

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)
Now that I have a better feel for the controls, I love everything about this game. There’s exploration. Shooting. Swinging in a beautiful, realized NYC. The story is kind of intriguing.
Love seeing the non-mutated Miles. Now, I can’t wait to see what happens and how they show him getting bit.
So much to do. I realized that doing everything on the map really counts because that’s how you build up SM’s arsenal and new things he can do. I’ve been doing more and more site seeing and veering away from main campaign for now. But, that’s the beauty in this game, is that you can play it so many ways.
I just recently discovered the stealth aspect of Spidey silently taking baddies.
It’s just extremely fun. I think I just hit level 34 and I’m 62% done.
What is the level cap anyway? And do you get something for leveling up? When I see a change in level, I don’t notice much difference. No matter. Having a blast.
After I finish I won’t play MM. I’ll start or continue with something else. How are the DLCs?

Gtk I can skip them for now, but I’m going to take a little break from this universe and play something else. I would think it might be overload if I did 1, MM, then SM 2 back to back to back.

MM is not a long game at all. Wait until December and you can knock out an entire playthrough or two in a week or less. I need to go back and do another playthrough to get the platinum.

Miles Morales can be comfortably finished in a weekend. (HowLongToBeat pegs it a little over 7 hours.) It’s much, much smaller in scope than the other two games in the series. And it’s a blast. All killer, no filler (well, very little, anyway!).
