Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)

I wrapped up the final DLC today and all the side missions. Nothing too eventful, but it set up the next game nicely. The only unfortunate thing is I think it's going to leave some people in the dark if they don't get the season pass and then start the next game wondering how and why some things took place.

The only shitty part for me is I'm missing ONE photo somewhere and have no idea where it's at. I really didn't want to use a guide since I found the other 49 by doing stuff around the city.

Will the DLC go on sale eventually? I'll be getting my PS4 on Christmas and starting the game. It'll take me a while to beat it. I don't want to go ahead and buy and then it go on sale before I beat the main game.

I feel like i'll wait until the DLC is cheap before ever revisiting the game.

I'm about 25% thru the game so far and finding it to be a blast... my GOTY had I not put it off for so long. I'm even finding the side missions, backpacks, etc to be fun. I do wish the swinging controls were a bit tighter but overall, loving this game.

Swinging gets better as your skills increase. One of the best parts of the game.

Enjoy!

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)

I had three big issues with the game that kept it far away from being a GOTY.
Having to fight hordes of goons over and over got bring quick and made it a real chore to get through. Also, while the city is a good re-creation of NY, it feels kinda dull - tough to put my finger on why, but it could be that NY has been the setting for so many open world games already. And then there's the unnecessary padding stuff, like the lame puzzles and playing as characters that aren't Spider-Man.

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)

If anyone around here got the game for Christmas and wants the preorder code that came with the game, shoot me a PM. I can't remember what it includes, maybe some bonus costumes or something? Just one requirement, must be a regular around here. No new accounts looking for free shit.

Edit: GONE

I'm guessing that they are releasing that Foundation costume that Spider-Man wore as a tribute to Johnny Storm.

It's gotta be more than that - they're hyping it with a pic of all four FF members walking together.

We may see the Baxter Building now pop up out of nowhere in this universe NYC, plus getting both Bag Man and Future Foundation Spidey Costume. Maybe even a cameo from HERBIE

I gave up on the 1st chapter of the DLC. Just wasn't feeling it.

The first DLC was the best IMO, so if you don't like that one the others probably won't do much for you.

I have hated Screwball this entire game/DLC, and right now I'm at the last challenge and it's horrific. Tried it like 10 times, no checkpoints, and it's making me want to quit the game forever. Any tips?

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)

Find the challenge on YouTube and see if you are missing something. I had to do that with one I kept failing without knowing why. After about a dozen tries I looked it up and found out I was supposed to fling myself through something by holding the top buttons. I had absolutely no idea I was supposed to do that and the game didn't point me in that direction.

So the “big” FF news for the Spider-Man game is that we are getting 2 new costumes: Future Foundation Spider-Man and Paper Bag Spidey

There wasn't much keeping the future foundation costume out before they brought FF back into prominence, right? Bag man, I can understand, because that's an FF costume.

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)

I finally started playing this game recently.

Currently Level 10 and I haven't focused too much on the Main Story/Quests yet.

Enjoying swinging around the city collecting items and clearing out thugs

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)

I'm level 30 now and have had enough of the side missions and clearing out the bad guys... it was a ton of fun at first. I'm ready to just clean up the last 10 or so main missions and possibly look into the DLC.

Re: Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) PS4 (9/7/18)

Beat the Main Story this morning.

Ended up at Level 50 with all of my Skill Trees maxed out.

I'll probably return to the game in the near future to unlock more Gadgets & Suits.

Damn this game is easy to tear through. I'm already up to 50% completion in less than a week. I assume that's just the story mode? The number doesn't appear to change when I go after collectibles and challenges.

There will be a ton of tedious assignments coming up... I hate the bomb diffusion thing (more than I hated chasing pigeons).
