Weird song title.

Apparently "glow in the dark" is code for "set your SNES ablaze"

Pretty weird. It would be kind of cool to have but the fact that it isn't licensed by Nintendo and poses enough of a hazard that they have to give all kinds of warnings makes me lose interest. I'd rather just buy the Switch version of the game.

I wonder if it is just about the console being so old and not actually the cartridge. Weird.

Yeah, I think they don't want to be held responsible for issues on that SNES you just bought from a local pawn shop that hasn't been used since '96.

I just assume it's a generic warning.

Last I heard, most SNES cartridges didn't and don't set your SNES on fire, though.

Maybe don't release a $100 cartridge that sets consoles on fire instead. I dunno.

Yeah cartridges shouldn't pose a danger or you wouldn't see these consoles that can play retro games keep getting made. This must be an issue with the cartridge itself somehow or like mentioned it could just be a generic warning. I don't think I've seen a company warn about that before though so it's odd.

They should have kept the gun powder and accelerant out of the cartridge and only charged $90.

Seriously though, what's the issue here? Non-standard chips in the cartridge?

This blog post seems to go into the issue in detail.

Basically, the problem lies with using 3.3V flash with older 5V systems. I guess 5V flash is no longer a thing? I don't know.... but this release is approved by Capcom, but not Nintendo. They can put any warning on it that they want... but if the cart starts killing SNES consoles, it's going to look bad for the two companies involved either way.

Yeah it doesn't seem worth the risk other than the fact that its a re-release in a different colored shell.
