Sounds like you should've gone to Target, where all the cool kids shop!

I was surprised (pleasantly) by how easy it was to pick one of these up this morning. Walked into Target at 8:30. Walked out with one at 8:40. They were selling them at the CS desk up front, and I made the mistake of going back to the electronics area first.

p.s. - Looks like over 4500 of these have gone up for sale on eBay this morning. Methinks scalpers are going to be disappointed by their returns on these. LOL!

So, YoK is their store brand?

That is my understanding. I've never seen anyone else sell them.

Lots of scalpers in line at Target when i rode by on my way to work this morning. I assume their scalpers unless SNESs have gained a lot of popularity with Hispanic ladies in their 50s

Wow. And that's only after the first shipment of units, where most stores won't sell more than one unit per person.

What's the point of scalpers in line at Target when Target won't sell more than on per person?

What's strange is that I had Nyko wireless controller in my cart at GameStop.com, but when I tried to check out it said "no longer available."
Now it isn't even listed on their site anymore.

I did the same for my second. I have a friend that works in NYC so I sent him my QR code. I'm not reselling. I'm just trying to get my Christmas shopping done early.

I'm going to wait for the 8-bit controllers, they look great. Problem is that they don't come out until 12/10, but I bought the extender wires to tide me over.

There's a lot of listings on Ebay. Mostly buy now.

And there is seriously some stupid people who are actually putting in bids. Must be some desperate parents who don't know any better and are trying to get this at any cost for their kids this Christmas.

Got lucky. Was in line at a GameStop and someone said Best Buy had over 250 so I went there and got a claim ticket and went home with one.

Got to Target 30 minutes before it opened, there was a big line and some people with chairs and stuff so I assume they'd been there a while. They came out and said there were 72, handed out tickets. I was 46. The last ticket was, I believe, given out to someone who showed up about a minute before 7 who was there to do a return. He didn't at first take it (didn't know what was up) but then as I headed out I saw him with his ticket at the end of the line.

Then I came to work early, so I'll get out early. Bonus.

That reminds me of how #32 in line for the NES Classic last year got screwed out of system. The Hatchimals were coming out the same day and there were two ladies in line that wanted them. 30 systems for the store. When she gets up front she asked "what is everyone else here for?" When they tell her she says, "oh well might as well give me one too my kids may like it for xmas." Guy nearly had a heart attack. I hope he ended up getting one!

My sister was out shopping and I asked her to look at Best Buy for one and she got one. They had a line for them and they were handing them out at 1pm. That was a lot easier than last year....

I had been kicking around getting one for my too-young-for-it son (he's 2 1/2). I figured some of my earliest memories with my dad are taking turns playing the Atari 2600 when I was 3 and this would be a nice way to introduce him to games a little down the road. Best Buy still had 15-20 out when I stopped by at 1, so I snagged one. It'll likely just get wrapped and sit in the closet until February, but we'll see.

My 4 year old wanted to play so I let her try Mario and I almost lost my shit watching her run into that first mushroom time and time again.

Doesn't look like the HORI wireless controller is any good. I'm glad I saw this, because I originally reserved one for pick up at Gamestop.

So I'm playing Zelda: Link to the Past and I'm stumped on the bandit Blight treasures room I could get two out four chests to open but can't seem how to get the last two. Well check it out on Youtube. Read on back of box in order to unlock Starfox 2 which was never released you have to complete the first stage on Starfox.

What games are you all looking forward to playing? I have never played Earthbound. It's first on my list to play.
