I'm sure I can get one with a stock finder at Target like I did last year. You just have to be up and willing to run to the store and stand in line for like an hour before opening.

I love how Target keeps the preorders for the Xbox One X open for days now, but can't keep this damn thing in stock for minutes. I get that demand is different, but still.

So it looks like Toys R Us is the last chance for today. And they don't even have it listed on their site yet.

I think the NES Classic and SNES Classic could have been 2 of the best selling consoles of all-time had fucking Nintendo not decided to play these stupid games with stock and availability. Why did they have to make this so damn hard?

I know there is probably hundreds maybe thousands of unopened and unsold consoles of the NES Classic consoles out there because of these scalpers and third party sellers hoarding them and trying to profit with most sensible poeple not biting.

But if you were already going to get a Mega Man helmet anyways...

I would have gotten the one that comes with Zelda chess but the triforce light is too much. And unless the bundle is up-charged, the light is pretty pricey.

https://www.polygon.com/platform/amp...r-bot-tai-ding

According to this article, many people have purchased some kind of bot to snag pre-orders ahead of other people. One guy snagged 4 SNES classics with it.

Truth be told I'm not as upset over this as at least this time we knew ahead of time that it's a limited edition item. It still irritates me how fast it sold out but it was bound to happen with pre-orders going live on the major sites all at once. Couple that with bots and scalpers and it's no wonder it went so fast. Hopefully Nintendo realizes the demand and makes more available later. It sounded like they planned to stagger releases so I wouldn't rule out getting one just because this first batch went.

..if it lets you add an item it should give you at least a couple minutes or so to fill out the needed information.
Seriously. Silly me, I always thought the "shopping carts" were designed to function like, you know, a SHOPPING CART!?

Also, joke's on me for actually trying to give Nintendo credit for doing better this time around. "Stand by for information forthcoming on how to preorder the SNES Classic" != "Preorders will go live without warning in the middle of the goddamn night, when only 10% of you have any chance of being aware!"

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...assic&_sacat=0

Well, the scalpers wasted no time. It's going as high as $499.

Some assholes are even posting their Gamestop pre-order receipts confirming that they have it coming and I see it selling it for $300 from them.

Fucking leaches. They're doing nothing wrong technically, but taking advantage of this to make a quick profit is such a dick move.

I would love to see Nintendo drop so many on release day that you can still find them a week later.

A boy can dream...

I feel like you are all repeating the same conversations that were had for the NES Classic...

Wash, rinse and repeat next year with the N-64 classic.

I plan to get to Target at about 7:30 a.m. with a folding chair, some videos on my phone, and a spare battery and just wait until 10:00 a.m. Last time the guy came out with tickets at 8:30 so we all could get something to eat and use the restroom. Hopefully that happens again.

I got one on Target, by pressing add to cart repeatedly and getting lucky. I recommend that strategy. This order better not get canceled though.

You got lucky, I got to step three of the checkout process and it kicked me back to cart, then emptied my cart. Happened to alot of others too.

I was on my lunch break when they went live at GameStop and I got there within 5 minutes of them being available. I walk in the store and their were no customers so I thought great but the guy at the counter said they only got 8 and they were already sold out. He said they had already taken some names down so half went to them and the other half were reserved by employees.

Same thing happened to me early this afternoon. I'm glad it worked out this time though. I spent a minute removing other shit from the cart that were old items, hoping that wouldn't slow me down.

Call corporate. Store employees should not be reserving any for themselves.

Where do you live? I can't see this being anywhere near early enough within a major urban center.
