And it kinda pisses me off that the hardest level to date imo was all in his head. That seems like a gimmick for a lesser made title. And the way the rebellion

Are you playing it? Did it not take you out of it a bit with that twist? it cheapened it somehow and that entire level was a dream. i don't really like that...

Yes I already finished it. I thought that twist was ridiculous in a good way and I didn't see it coming. It's like a good B movie. It's got serious stuff, some comedy and some wacky action.

I thought the twist was fucking awesome. I've never been jerked around quite so much by a game and thought it was fantastic

I’m sure, in the end, I’ll love the game and look past the implausible. As much as I was saddened by end of TNO, I guess this erased that, but something about him is just different now.

Damned if I’m not gonna do those assassination missions. When I was at the machine I had no idea how to decode those enigma codes with those damned dots. I wasted a couple, but opened up all but 2, I think for now...

Fired this up last night and was happy to see "The Freedom Chronicles." VERY cool addition. Played the first one and started the second. More Wolfenstein awesomeness.

I guess they think that people that watch COPS want to kill Nazis. I have seen a couple of different Wolfenstein II commercials at least ten different times this past morning while watching some episodes this morning. Getting to be really annoying.

has no one found a way to delete save games? i have like 2 manual saves and then autosaves. i would only like to keep my current one, but bc it takes me so long in-between sessions sometimes, i forget. i mean i could try them all, but there has to be a way to delete. all games have that, don't they?

I love going on those assassination missions. Some of those Ubercommanders are tough SOBs. And they pop out of nowhere. I messed up a couple enigma code unlocks and thus lost them. Still have 1 more Uber to unlock but no more enigma codes. Still not finished with game, of course, but hope I can unlock and kill all to get to secret level...

Is it just me or does the graphics in this game have a hazy foggy look? I found this really annoying, especially in the early sub mission and NYC. Just makes the colors feel washed out. Maybe it's my tv. I kept lowing the brightness level to get some contrast.

i don't notice haziness, but it is an irradiated NYC, so that probably adds to the bleakness of game world in that section. other than that and that location, no real issues...

They do as far as I know, don't know why this one doesn't, but I just went into my system memory and deleted the 10 or so saves I no longer need. They're about 9 MB each, and it was easy that way because each shows the date and mission name.

Where again can you see your % of completion? I remember used to see it, but can’t for the life of me find it again...

And I love that you can, sometimes almost have to play stealthy, or go guns blazing. It’s hard to remain completely stealthy, but I succeed on many occasions and it helps a lot. Not tripping those alarms is a big deal...

one question...i messed up a few enigma codes and couldn't unlock some Uber's to kill. how do i kill them if i have no more enigma codes to decode and then track? i know there is a new area or mission after kill last Uber i think, so how do i get there if no more codes?

Re: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - 10/27/17

I've been slowly playing through, but been so busy with work and family that I haven't had much time. Spent a lot of time the last couple days, and almost at the end. I'm really enjoying it, and while I miss the Anya/BJ relationship focus from the first game i'm enjoying the story immensely in this one still even if some of the new characters aren't as interesting. I love the craziness that the story takes you and the entire world, and I love the setting being in the US. I've been playing on Bring it On difficulty and it definitely feels more difficult then the previous game.

I haven't had time to play much this year, but easily one of my favorites of the year. Great sequel, and i'm glad Bethesda is still advocating for single player games like this.

And finished! Fun game, although the end was a little simple and I was surprised there wasn't some big crazy boss fight or something. Still satisfying.

I don't think i'll bother with the collectibles or the Uberkommander stuff though.

OldBoy 01-01-18 06:37 PM

Re: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - 10/27/17

Yeah satisfying and end was easy. I did all the ubercommando stuff and got the extra level. Nothing crazy. I think I’m done. Got 80% completion. Don’t feel like doing the freedom chronicles dlc right now. What are they just different characters doing pretty much same thing as BJ, in the same locations, just less bad ass?
