re: Friday the 13th - early 2017

It seems to have promise but I'm very leery. It's like taking a chance on any of the movies after part 2.

If I was into multi-player at all, I would probably pick this up. The developer videos of this look pretty fun.

That video looked really fun. But I remember how cool The Division looked when they released that similar first video....

It looks like a really bad version of Evolved. Hopefully the single player looks better when we see it.

This is the only thing about it I'm unsure of. I don't get huge into multi-player games either but this looks kind of fun and has the appeal of the films and whatnot. I hope that the single player campaign is good though too as that's what I want out of games more personally.

Re: Friday the 13th - early 2017

Considering they waited so long to add a single player component, I'm not expecting much.

I've watched some buddies play the Beta, definitely looks like a lot of fun, probably will pick up on PS4 once it drops below $20.

There's already a thread for this, but most of the info is old.

this looks cool and if you get to play as Jason, even cooler, but why would you need an update later on to play single player? that seems very odd...

It was originally going to be multiplayer only, the Kickstarter raised enough money to include a single player which they are still working on.

They delayed it from October 2016 to May 2017 supposedly to add the single player, but now the single player is still delayed? And the graphics look disappointing. Not holding my breath for this one.

I bet this thing tanks harder than Evolve did. Nothing in that trailer looked fun and everyone seemed like they were moving very slow. Top that off with shitty looking graphics and a choppy framerate and it seems like a mess. And pushing back the single player again isn't a good sign. Isn't Adam Sessler involved with this in some capacity as well?

Apparently yes. $40 download. No physical media.

$40 is expensive for a download and from a small company. I'm going to wait until I read a few reviews. But, I really don't see this game being a hit. Right now, it's unlikely I would purchase it.

Re: Friday the 13th: The Game -- XBox One, PS4, Steam -- 5/26/17

You would be better off going to the main site, FAQ and Forums for actual information: http://f13game.com/

http://f13game.com/faq/

So what is the price?

The digital version of the game is $40USD while the physical edition is $60USD. You will get the multiplayer portion of the game in early 2017 with the single player portion being patched in during the summer of 2017.

Are there any differences between physical and digital?

No, the cost disparity is simply our team trying to pass on savings to our fans as it costs less to email a game download key rather than create, package and ship a physical item.

I want to pre-order on Xbox Live, Steam, PlayStation Network or a retailer like GameStop or Best Buy. When can I do that?

Right now, the only place to pre-order is through our site. However, we intend to offer the game for pre-order on Xbox Live, Steam and PSN. We also intend to be at physical retail locations as well. More news on that coming soon!

This game should be more like 20-30 dollars digital and 40 physical. Good luck selling lots of copies for 40-60 bucks.

I bought it for $25 in Oct 2015. Apparently , after checking both this thread and the Kickstarter one, I don't heed my own warnings :

All the horror websites it seems are hyping this. As much as I love Friday the 13th and the 80's horror characters, $40 for a download for something that doesn't look good is crazy. I'm going to guess, since I read in this forum that it was a Kickstarter or something like that, most of the sales would be through that and it will be a major bomb.
