When do you play video games?

Thought this would be interesting since we all have different lives, schedules, etc...

I usually have very small windows, increasingly small. Weekends after 5pm news, from maybe 6-7:30/8 is my only time. But usually reserved for Sunday's only. If I go out Saturday night I don't play. Not before for a little bit. Usually just hit that 6pm window or otherwise I just don't play. If I have a day off or snow day then I will play during week, but that's it. Maybe lack of interest, even though very interested in Resident Evil 7. I dunno...

So when do you get to play your games?

I have a lot of free time, so I usually game from 10 pm til 11 pm during the week and whenever I'm home on weekends.

I might play an hour or two during the week, but I try to use that time the most to hang out with my wife and get stuff done around the house and watch some movies with her. I mainly game on weekends, usually late on Friday and Saturday night once everyone has gone to bed. That way it's quiet with no interruptions. And I can usually get to bed around 1 or 2am and still get up at a decent time with the kids.

I sometimes get 15 min or so, except for once a week when the wife takes the kids to her dad's house for dinner. Then I'll get a few hours.

The PS4's suspend mode has been a great help with games that don't have a save-anywhere feature.

My son goes to bed at 7, my wife goes to bed at 8:30 and however long I can stay up after that is for gaming and watching any movies or shows my wife isn't interested in. Some nights I'm pretty much cashed at 9, but I usually make it until 11 or 11:30.

Usually weekend mornings, if I don't have plans with my girlfriend. Once in a while, weekdays after dinner, if it's an early dinner and/or I don't feel like watching regular TV.

If there's a lot of games I'm in the middle of (like right now), it'll be about 10 hours a week, otherwise, around 3 hours a week. I have roughly 12 hours a week for TV, be it broadcast, streaming, cable, blu-rays or videogames. And it just depends which one of those I have the biggest backlog that I'll spend the most time on during that week.

Suspend mode on the consoles has been the best new feature this generation imo. It's just ridiculously handy when you only have a few minutes to kill.

Kid-friendly games on the weekends, other games at 11 p.m. after everyone else goes to bed and I don't have projects to work on.

It will be a sad day for me when watching the news takes priority over playing video games.
