They are totally focused on the PC launch while shutting down Trials because an emote does not work.
Their own forums are a nuclear wasteland of comments, suggestions and criticisms. Bungie has not said a word and sadly I do not believe there is anything they could say.

1) D1 launched on 4 systems. D2 launched on 2 systems.
2) D2 digital sales are not accounted for.
Bungie should be more concerned with the fact that they are losing their player base at an alarming rate.

Destiny 2 is a game based on getting loot but the loot sucks. No point in playing once you complete the milestones each week. Once you hit 305 the milestones aren't even worth doing.

i am having so much fun with the story mode and adventure missions. killing bazillions of fallen, etc is so much fun and in some regards challenging. level 16, power 150+. beat a Hydra, boy, was that a tough one...

I want to see what bungie does once the pc version comes out. It was probably a big mistake waiting over a month to release it. I think a lot of people are waiting for the pc version.
I know I myself tried the ps4 version (my son will keep playing it) while I switch to PC once it comes out.

you can do all that
the majority of those complaining (self included to some extent) have 3 characters at max power level (305) and are finding it difficult to find things to do or "chase"
a couple examples being D1 non exotic weapons had random perks on the same weapon that could drop, D2 has static perks .... D1 had strike specific gear you could get from running strikes ... this is absent in D2
those are just a couple examples, again as a filthy casual experiencing Destiny for the first time these complaints aren't going to pertain so much to how you perceive the game

Destiny 1 was great. Destiny 2 is the result of changes made for reasons other than keeping players interested. If you like it then keep playing.
This is the graphic that is making the rounds on Reddit and Twitter and is a great list of the problems that most players feel is killing Destiny 2.
In addition they destroyed Iron Banner and removed all reasons for NPC's to exist. There is no reputation grinding, just token gathering.
On the other hand, they just announced snowballs and ice hockey for the abandoned farm area. Yippee!

I'd like to see a similar "Banner" showing all the positives and have them side-by-side.....
The main problem is lack of progression + lack of rewards + lack of varied activities (more then Patrols,Strikes and Public Events) + nerfs, issues, lack of various parts throughout the game = lackluster game where you can tread for hours on end and in the end have almost nothing to show for it and are left more frustrated than satisfied.
When they put it out, "hey...we're raising the Light Level"...that's equal to putting a Band-Aid over a Bullet Wound.....I've said it before, they could've conjured up another "Guardian" to play instead of giving us the same three. They could've put in a backstory of maybe playing a Fallen. The Commerce Part is totally useless. Collect stuff to buy more stuff that's below your level and you break it all down for what?They had it in D1 but no idea on how to use it. There should be more than one Mod than "Blue or Purple" in Armor or Weapon and should be at different levels (white, green, blue and gold) where you can get more out of it with more varied stats. What is it, like over 500 weapons in D2 but everybody wants like 6-8.
.....D1 survive with players coming and going....and staying for almost a good 1-2 years. D2 is already falling apart and it's only been two months.....and Holidays are coming up with Star Wars Battlefront II, COD WWII and all the Black Friday Deals.....the fires of discontent are growing and just raising the light level is not going to cut it....
