With the rolling starts, your midnight will still be my 10pm. So you should probably wait until 2am to start.

Taking off that Wednesday?

Lol, as if their servers won't be hammered for the first few days.

I'm realistically not expecting to be able to log in and play until 3 to 5 days after the release day.

Taking off that whole week. Planning a short trip to Vancouver, and hopefully will be back by the Wednesday.

Exactly.

Not to mention the nerfs and bug patches that will hit early and often.

Clickbait on Twitter keeps telling people that the pre-load is available and just as many people report that it is not.

The hype is off the charts for this one.

I figured there were going to be some server issues for the first couple days, so I ended up taking the following Monday off to have an extended weekend to play.

Just two weeks to go!

I opted for the digital download - don't wanna have to bother with puling out a disc each time I want a quick round of the game.

I'll probably take off that following Monday too.

I know there's not many PC gamers here, but if anyone is legitimately interested in the PC version give me a holler. :)

If they'd let you transfer character progression from the console versions to the PC version, I'd be all over it.

Now, I know this has been discussed, but couldn't find it, but this will have a more substantial SP than first, correct? Flame on...

Single player didn't exist in the first one. If you didn't play strikes and more so raids, you didn't play the game.

I doubt the second one will be any different.

I didn't try it.

Of course you can run around in Destiny on your own.

I can't imagine there's an actual campaign though.

There is a campaign in both games that can be played single or co-op. The one in the original D1 release wasn’t very substantial, but it’s there.

I did the same thing...as much as I bitched about losing my physical copies, I realized as I get older, that the convenience of not switching disk is too strong.

Also, now that bestbuy is offering their 10 dollar preorder credit on digital purchases, and I don't have to pay tax on digital, it really is only 7 bucks more for me to buy a digital copy from bestbuy vs the 20% off physical...and I still get my 10 credit.

I have a dilemma like 6 friends are getting for ps4 and 4 friends are getting it for PC and since the ps4 one will be out like 2 months before the pc. I might play both and eventually stick to the pc version.

Beyond that, you're getting the same exact, game, as in you're not sacrificing any drop in quality, and not even saving any hard-drive space if you get a disc.

Whereas with almost all other media (music, movies), the physical copy is almost always of better quality than the download, and doesn't take up hard-drive space.
