Question about the batteries in old Nintendo cartridge games.
I have some older Nintendo cartridge games that have battery backup, and considering some of them are now well over twenty years old, do I have to worry about dead batteries leaking and possibly damaging the game cartridge itself? Thanks to anyone that replies.

Seems like it's possible, but it's pretty rare unless you're living in extreme temperatures or something. They should be lithium batteries, which won't leak like, say, alkaline do.
Here's a Reddit post recently that has some decent info:

Thank you for the information, and I'm glad that dead batteries shouldn't be a problem I need to worry about.
