People are constantly trying to access my Steam account... is this normal?
 

About once per month I get a code from Steam via email telling me I need this to log in to steam... generally it's an attempt to get access from Russia. Do any of you have this problem? It's not a big deal - just kind of annoying.

Change your password? If you're specifically getting a code from steam in your email inbox, then that means they have your password.

Yeah, do. :)

Just to be clear:
- If you're getting a "Use this code/link to reset your password" email, then you're probably fine. It means they're trying to do a password reset so they can gain access.

- If you're getting a "Use this code to activate/verify your device" email, then they've probably got your password. It means they've successfully acquired you password, but Steam has a security feature built in requiring the owner of the email address to verify that the device is legitimately yours.

On top of that... if you use that email address and/or password anywhere else, consider resetting passwords everywhere. Seriously. If you have to, use LastPass or EnPass to store all your wacky new passwords if you don't already.

Another thing you should consider doing is installing the Steam app on your phone and then enabling Mobile Authenticator (a two-factor authentication):
