Splatoon 2 online has been fun so far, even if everyone is playing Turf War like it's Deathmatch

Man I just registered a Nintendo account for my daughter so she can play Splatoon online. It's going to stink when they start charging for online per account.

The disconnects/quitters are killing it for me. I had something like 6 matches in a row where my team lost, and when I'd look at the results, there was always one person with 0pp. In one of those games, we started with 3 people; the fourth quit before we even spawned. That happened all the time in the first Splatoon as well, but the bad luck wasn't 100% on my side then.

I've had quite a few quitters in Turf War this evening.

I skipped Splatoon on the WiiU (not sure why I didn't pick it up), so this is all new to me, but Splatoon 2 is great fun. It's been fun playing around with the different weapons/specials. Online play has been problem free for me, with only one game having quitters (they were on the other team).

I'm so tempted to rebuy this after owning it on Xbox. Such a fun coop game.
Last year’s smash hit cooperative cooking game Overcooked is coming to Nintendo Switch later this week. Team17 and developer Ghost Town Games will release Overcooked: Special Edition on July 27 via the Nintendo eShop.
The Nintendo Switch version of Overcooked will cost $19.99 and includes The Lost Morsel and Festive Seasoning add-on content. The Switch port also includes HD Rumble support.

Finally, after a four month search, I got a Nintendo Switch today at Wal-Mart! The bad news, it will be Christmas before I get to play it.

Buying one to keep it sealed for the next five months? What if there is something wrong with it, and you are way outside your return window? Or if they do a special edition system design or a holiday promotion pack in with the new Mario game coming out in November?

It's for my daughter's Christmas. That's all she's been asking for is a Nintendo Switch. I bought a 3 year warranty for 28 bucks so if anything goes wrong, i'm covered.

It would be nice to see a Switch in stores. I miss the days of seeing Nintendo systems for sale

With Mario Odyssey and a Pokemon game coming, the Switch should continue to sell huge through the holidays.

I hate shopping at Wal-mart but you can't beat their warranties. I had to send my Xbox One and my daughter's 3DS off for repair this year and it was a hassle free experience. They couldn't fix the 3DS so they gave us a brand new one.
Both were in year three of the warranty, so if they had to quit working, I'm glad it happened when it did.

Wish I could find the neon yellow joy cons somewhere. And a $20 markup for a USB-C pass through on the charging grip seems extreme....but I'll play your game nintendo (pun intended).

I wonder if the folks who still pop in once in awhile to complain about the Switch, Nintendo itself, and predict a poor future for the console will continue to hold that opinion.

In my area they are all still sold out everywhere however I got mine when Best Buy put it in their ad. I got to the store 3 minutes before it opened and while they were still handing out tickets, I was number 2.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Last night stopped by a Wal-Mart and was surprised to see about 20 in the glass cabinet. Usually when I see them sitting on the shelf it's only the gray joycon model, last night it was about 10 gray, and 10 of the neon blue/red models also. I believe it's the first time I've ever seen that model just sitting on the shelf.
